The tenth international Miles of Smiles convoy arrived in the Gaza Strip earlier this week. 114 internationals, many of them women, from several countries crossed into the Strip from Rafah; bringing essential aid to its besieged civilian population. As in previous visits, the convoy delivered specially equipped cars to transport the disabled, as well as hundreds of electric chairs, medicine and computers for schools.
The delegation, which is expected to remain in Gaza for a few days, met with Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh, who thanked them and commended their efforts to highlight the plight of 1.5 million Palestinians under Israeli siege.
