The Palestinian Return Centre in London (PRC) has announced that it is to host an international panel discussion on the situation of Palestinian refugees in Syria in the light of the political crisis and violence of the past two years.
PRC spokesman Arafat Bojomaa said that human rights groups such as Amnesty International will join writers and activists in looking at the suffering of Palestinian refugees caught between the Syrian rebels and the ruling regime. An eyewitness account will be given by Tariq Hammoud, the director of an NGO concerned with Palestinian refugee affairs in Syria.
The director of the PRC, Majed al-Zeer, is expected to explain to participants the steps that his organisation is going to take in order to protect the refugees.
The panel will assemble in London next Monday.
