The Israeli cabinet has extended orders banning the reunification of Palestinians living inside the Green Line, with their families from the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Radio Israel reported that during the Israeli Ministerial Council’s session held on Sunday, July 17, the council unanimously approved a request made by Interior Minister, Eli Yishai, to extend emergency orders banning the unification of Palestinians living inside the 1948 territories, with their families from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It also bans Palestinians from Gaza from being granted Israeli identification cards.
Israeli Member of Knesset, Zahava Gal-On, said the order violated the basic rights of Arab citizens to a peaceful family life.
