At dawn on Monday (05/09), Israeli settlers set fire to the ground floor of Al-Nurain mosque in the village of Qasra to the south of Nablus.

According to local village sources, residents of Qasra woke this morning to yet another settler crime against mosques and Islamic holy sites. The ground floor of the Al-Nurain mosque was gutted and anti-Arab graffiti scrawled across its walls in Hebrew.

Hundreds of village residents flocked to the mosque to express their outrage at this new attack demanding that the international community and international organisations condemn the occupation for its continuous violations against the rights of the people, the land and holy sites in Palestine and to force the Israeli occupation to desist from such attacks.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first attack on mosques in the south Nablus area; similar attacks on mosques have been carries out in the towns of Yassouf, Laban and others.
