Sheikh of Al-Azhar: What is happening in Jerusalem is criminal

Cairo-

On his first day in office the new Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayyib, has condemned Israeli aggression on the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He described the Judaisation and aggression currently taking place in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa courtyard, as an attack on its Islamic identity and as a criminal act that should not go unpunished by either the international community or by Muslims that have a duty to defend the mosque and other Holy Islamic sites in Palestine.
