The Israeli media accused of “incitement" against 1948 Palestinians

The High Coordinating Committee for Palestinians in the territories occupied in 1948 accused the Israeli media of incitement against Palestinians, describing it as a “misleading and distorting media.”

In a statement issued earlier this week, the Committee deplored what it called “the ongoing escalation” conducted by the Israeli media against the Arab inhabitants of the 1948 Palestinian lands, saying that the media is “institutionally pursuing a policy of misinformation and distortion via word, image and semi-identical slogans.”

The Hebrew mass media had extensively showed a picture of two masked men, during the demonstration on Land Day in the town of Sakhnin displaying photos of Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah Party and Imad Mughniyah, the party’s military commander who was assassinated a year ago by Mossad.

The High Committee for the Palestinians of 1948 concluded that the Israeli media had turned this marginal scene into a central issue on the occasion.
