Hamas official: technocrat government has no political agenda

May 8, 2014 at 11:04 am

Senior member of Hamas’ political bureau Mousa Abu-Marzouk stressed yesterday that the prospective technocrat government has no political agenda.

He said that this government has six “specific” missions to be carried out in six months; preparing for parliamentary and presidential elections and running the daily life of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

It would also lift the siege the Gaza Strip, continue reconstruction projects and carry out social reconciliation and improve general freedoms.

Abu-Marzouk, who travelled from Egypt to Gaza and remained there to follow up on the issue of the reconciliation, said that Hamas and Fatah insist on implementing the reconciliation deal.
