Hamas accuses subversive parties in the West Bank of hampering reconciliation

The interior ministry in the Hamas government in Gaza Strip has accused “subversive parties” in the West Bank of hampering Palestinian reconciliation efforts by persisting with political arrests and summoning the movement’s supporters.

The interior ministry’s media spokesman, Iyad al- Bozm said in a statement on Tuesday “the continued raids, arrests and summons of the movement’s supporters in the West Bank, after having signed the reconciliation agreement and after Hamas has offered all that is needed to form a unity government indicate that certain subversive parties in the West Bank, who benefit from the continued state of division, do not want the reconciliation to be completed.”

Al-Bozm called on the Public Freedoms Committee, a product of the reconciliation agreement, to take action and stop what is happening in the West Bank.
