Egyptian Minister of Transport Hani Dahi said that his country signed a memorandum of understanding with South Cyprus yesterday to launch a direct shipping line between the ports of Alexandria, north Egypt, and Limassol, south Cyprus, in order to increase trade between the two countries.
In a statement, Dahi said that during his current visit to Cyprus he met with South Cyprus Transport Minister Marius Diametre Tidas to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of maritime transport as well as coordination and cooperation between the Alexandria Port Authority and the Cypriot port of Limassol for the exchange of experiences between the two ports.
