A senior leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khalida Jarrar, has connected the success of the PLO Central Council’s meeting to cutting ties with Israel, Qudsnet reported on Wednesday evening.
Speaking to Qudsnet, Jarrar said that her party will propose discussions regarding Fatah’s monopoly of the Palestinian decision-making process, national partnership and reactivating the PLO.
She added: “If the Council decided to cut all kinds of relationship with Israel – including security cooperation, abolishing the Paris Economic Protocol, not going back to negotiations and calling for supporting resistance – it means that the meeting is successful.”
As a solution for the ongoing impasse in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, she said: “Calling for an international conference dedicated to asking all sides to commit to international legitimacy is an alternative solution.”
Meanwhile, she stressed the importance of ending the internal division among the Palestinians, which could lead to the reinstallation of the “temporary” leadership of the PLO.
She also said that the PFLP would propose discussions regarding the issue of Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails, the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the situation of Palestinian refugees in refugee camps in Syria.
