Iran is demanding the lifting of all economic sanctions imposed as soon as an agreement is signed with the P5+1 countries, President Hassan Rohani stressed yesterday.
In a speech broadcast on state television, Rohani said: “We will not sign any agreements unless on the first day of the implementation of the deal all economic sanctions are totally lifted on the same day.”
He added that Iran wants “a win-win deal for all parties involved in the nuclear talks,” referring to negotiations between Tehran and six world powers – the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany.
Last week, Iran and the P5+1 countries reached a framework agreement that paves the way for a final covenant on the Iranian nuclear file. The deadline for the final agreement is 30 June.
