Khamenei: 'Israel will not exist in 25 years'

Israel will cease to exist in 25 years, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said today.

In remarks to the Iranian people in Tehran Khamenei said: "Firstly, you [Israel] will not see the next 25 years," Khamenei said. "God willing, there will be no such thing as a Zionist regime in 25 years. Until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists."

His remarks come following the signing of a landmark nuclear deal with world powers in July which is due to bring an end to the sanctions imposed on Tehran.

"The Americans want negotiations with Iran as a means to infiltrate [into the country] and impose their will," Khamenei said. "The Americans don't hide their hostility towards Iran: One of them smiles, and at the same time, others take measures against Iran."
