In recent days, Israeli occupation forces in East Jerusalem have been imposing checkpoints and roadblocks at the access points to Palestinian communities, ostensibly as a ‘security measure’. These steps are already creating significant problems for Palestinian residents, and on Sunday, a 65-year-old woman died en route to hospital after being delayed at the Israeli checkpoint in Issawiya.
