October 27, 2015 at 12:45 pm

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said as much as 90 per cent of the Russian airstrikes in Syria target the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

In an interview with a local TV channel on Sunday evening, Davutoglu said: “Russia is fully aware that a regime which controls 14 per cent of the Syrian territory is unable to bring stability to the country and the Russian intervention is not an indication of the regime’s strength but its failure.”

“Russia also knows that it is not possible for an unjust regime to crush the will of the people who revolted against it.”

“If Assad could control the country, he would not have resorted to Hezbollah and Iraqi militias, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and finally the Russians,” he added.
