Houthis: Political solution has failed in Yemen

October 30, 2015 at 12:09 pm

Discussions to reach a political solution to the Yemen crisis “have failed”, a Houthi official announced today.

Saleh Al-Samad, the head of the Houthi political council, wrote on Facebook: “Neither President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi nor the Saudi government have the power to wage or stop the war; the war was waged by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir from Washington. The Americans and the Zionists control the solution and the complications in the war waged since 30 March.”

In reference to the statements made by the French and Saudi foreign ministers on Wednesday regarding the imminent end of Operation Decisive Storm against the Houthis, Al-Samad said: “All of the statements issued by the enemy media outlets are nothing more than lies and deceptions aiming to achieve gains on the ground.”

“Those issuing such statements are media mouthpieces for the Americans, as the White House is issuing such statements to buy more time to make Yemen a battlefield for Al-Qaeda and Daesh, just as they did in Iraq, Afghanistan and many other countries that America interfered in and made into an arena for chaos, murder and destruction.”

Al-Samad confirmed that the Houthis would continue to fight the war and to make every effort in this regard.
