The number of Palestinian prisoners who have been handed life terms reached 490 yesterday as the Israeli occupation sentenced Jerusalemite Bilal Abu Ghanim to three life sentences, the Palestine Prisoners’ Centre for Studies (PPC) said.
PPC Director Riyad Al-Ashqar said that the Israeli military court issued Abu Ghanim, 22, with three life sentences in addition to 60 years in prison, a total of 135 years, and fined him 1.9 million Israeli shekels ($490,765) after he was found guilty of taking part in a bus attack that killed three Israeli settlers and wounded 11 others.
