July 29, 2016 at 12:49 pm

The head of the Iraqi Parliament’s Committee on Immigration and Displacement, MP Raad Al-Dahlaki has accused the Shia Popular Mobilisation Forces of repeatedly attacking refugee camps.

Al-Dahlaki held the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, and the security agencies responsible for the suffering of the displaced people.

Two people from Anbar province were killed and nine others were injured when Shia militias bombed a refugee camp in the Saidiya district in southern Baghdad, activists said. The camp has suffered other attacks by mortar weapons on Wednesday.

Al-Dahlaki has called for an end to militia violations and for those responsible to be punished.

The UNHCR has also condemned the bombing which is the third such attack in two months.
