‘No disputes exist between Abbas and Sisi’

The Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo Gamal El-Shobaki denied the existence of any differences between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Egyptian leadership regarding dismissed Fatah leader Mohammed Dahlan.

There are interpretations which serve a malicious purpose which is not in favour of the Palestinian issue or the Arab nations, El-Shobaki warned. He said those who are looking to promote disputes between Palestine and Egypt should look at Abbas’ speech a few days ago during the celebrations for the Egyptian National Day.

He stressed that Abbas considers Cairo the sole sponsor of the Palestinian issue.

The Palestinian Ambassador stressed that there will be a bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Egypt and Palestine on the sidelines of the Arab League meeting next Thursday.
