UNRWA said will be able to complete repair work to all houses in the Gaza Strip which suffered severe partial damage as a resulted of the 2014 Israeli offensive on the Strip after Saudi Arabia donated $10 million, Alkhaleejonline.com reported yesterday.
In a statement, the UN organisation stressing that its priority is rebuilding homes which were completely destroyed in “Operation Protective Edge”.

Deputy Director of the Infrastructure in the Refugee Camps in Gaza, Mueen Muqat, said: “We need up to $130 million to help about 3,500 families who have been waiting.”
He noted that UNRWA had offered assistance for 5,500 families in order to repair their homes, which had suffered major damage.

UNRWA has spent $60 million to repair homes which were severely damaged in the war. The funds were donated by the Saudi Development Fund, Japan, the German Development Islamic Bank and the office of the EU High Commission for Humanitarian Assistance.
