Balfour’s legacy: The destruction of Palestine

Author Salman Abu Sitta addressed the UK’s House of Lords on 28 March to discuss the Balfour Declaration and its consequences on the Palestinians. This year marks a century since the document was signed and the future of the State of Palestine was sealed.

Below is the text from Abu Sitta’s speech:

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We are witnessing today the longest war against a people:

A hundred years of the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and independence in their own country.

A hundred years of death and destruction in the region.

The hundred years witnessed the destruction of Palestine and the dispersion of its people.

#Nakba

Such an act was made possible by the largest, longest, comprehensive, pre-meditated and still continuous ethnic cleansing operation in modern history.

A hundred years of violating every article in human rights and international law, without remedy or recourse.

A hundred years culminating in the only colonial project in existence today.

The irony is that Palestine was not intended to be a colony at all.

Britain was entrusted to build government institutions in Palestine and Iraq (both as Mandate class A). It was due set a democratic independent country serving the Palestinian people.

It was in fulfillment of the “Sacred Trust of Civilisation”according to the Charter of the League of Nations.

Instead, it was converted into a colonial project for the benefit of European Jewish colonists who were not inhabitants of the country.

It was even worse than a colonial project.

Unlike any other colonial project, it eventually ended up with the mass expulsion of the majority of the population, the confiscation of their land and property, the destruction of their landscape and the erasure of their geography and history. It was the most tragic event in Palestine’s 5,000 year history.

Europe’s secret

In 1916, while the Allies planes were dropping leaflets on the Arabs in WWI exhorting them to fight the Turks and gain independence and freedom, Britain’s Mark Sykes and the France’s Georges Picot sat in a closed room with a map of the Middle East, planning how to carve it between them.

One year later, Arthur James Balfour, Britain’s foreign minister, concluded a secret agreement with rich European Jews to facilitate the establishment of “a Jewish national home”, not a state, in, not of, Palestine. He kept this agreement under lock and key. Meanwhile British forces entered Palestine in the spring of 1917 and bombarded Gaza using poison gas shells (yes) and destroyed most of its ancient buildings, but were defeated twice at Gaza gates.

On the evening of 31 October 1917, Allenby forces captured Beer Sheba in a surprise attack from the east. The gates of Palestine were laid open. Allenby sent a cable to London on 1 November 1st: “We captured Beer Sheba. Jerusalem will be your Christmas present”. Balfour opened his drawer and made public his secret agreement on 2 November 1917.

Balfour was not ashamed of his deed. He plainly stated his position:

For in Palestine we do not propose even to go through the form of consulting the wishes [not rights] of the present population of the county.

If these were expedient political statements, the subsequent British actions in Palestine put these words in action.

The first act was to select a Zionist British minister, Herbert Samuel, to be the first High Commissioner of Palestine, whose official task was to bring to Palestine independence and a working government.

Samuel did the opposite. He created the roots for the rise of Israel. In his tenure (1920-1925), legally only from 1922, he created the foundations of the future state of Israel; he promulgated dozens of laws which facilitated Jewish acquisition of Palestinian land; recognised Hebrew as an official language; established separate Jewish institutions: banking system, educational system, labour union (Histadrut), Public Works (Soleh Boneh), power generation company (Rosenberg). But the most critical laws for the elimination of Palestine were the creation of a separate Jewish legislative council and separate Jewish armed forces (Haganah), which eventually conquered Palestine.

In today’s legal language, Samuel laid the foundations of Apartheid Israel.

The rise of apartheid

Samuel issued many of these laws without authority, neither from the League of Nations, which approved the Mandate only on 24 July 1922, nor on authority from the Colonial Office in London which often rejected Samuel’s formulation.

The flood of Jewish European settlers to Palestine reached its peak about the middle of the 1930’s. At the end of 1936, the total Jewish immigrant population rose to 384,000 or 28 per cent of the whole population (from nine per cent at the beginning of the Mandate). This ignited the Palestinian Arab Revolt (1936-1939).

The revolt was met with utmost British brutality. The RAF bombed villages indiscriminately. The rising casualties of civilians enraged the population and increased the number of those who joined the ranks of the rebels (called “bandits” by the British). British forces attacked the villages, destroyed their supplies and held the men in cages for two days without food or water. Collective punishment was applied widely. Political parties were dissolved. Leaders were imprisoned or deported.

The British forces at this time (25-50,000 soldiers) were assisted occasionally by Jewish armed forces, notably 20,000 Jewish policemen, supernumeraries and settlement guards in addition to providing intelligence information.

A minimum estimate of Palestinian casualties was: 5,000 killed, 15,000 wounded and a similar number jailed. More than 100 men were executed, including leaders such as the 80-year-old Sheikh Farhan Al-Sa’di, who was hanged while fasting in Ramadan on 22 November 1937. Thus, about 50 per cent of all male adults in the mountainous region of Palestine, corresponding roughly to the West Bank today, where the revolt was particularly active, had been wounded or jailed by the British.

By 1939, the Palestinian society was dismembered, defenceless and leaderless . The year 1939 can be identified as the British-inflicted Nakba.

Almost ten years later, Ben Gurion carried out the Zionist-inflicted Nakba of 1948.

Zionists attacking Britain

At the conclusion of WWII, the Zionists rewarded Britain for its support, which opened Palestine’s doors to a flood of Jewish immigrants. The Zionists started a terror campaign against their erstwhile benefactors. They bombed British HQ, hanged British soldiers and kidnapped British judges.

In 1945, Britain had to fly the 6th Airborne Division to Palestine to fight Zionist terrorism. Its aim was not to save Palestine but to save its soldiers.

Zionists also assassinated Count Folke Bernadotte, the UN mediator appointed to bring peace to Palestine.

Jewish actions were described as “terrorism” by the UN Security Council in Resolution 57 of 1948.

In the remaining six weeks of the Mandate, the Zionists attacked and depopulated 220 Palestinians villages and committed massacres, the most infamous was Deir Yassin. The task of the British was to protect the Palestinians. What did they do?

They did not intervene.

They did not intervene when over a dozen massacres were committed against Palestinian villages. Deir Yassin was the most notorious. The British Chief of Police in Jerusalem was a few kilometres away, but he did nothing. The expulsion of Palestinians from Tiberias was assisted by the British providing transport for the expelled population. In the massive evacuation of Haifa’s Palestinian population, the British forces did not defend the population, but assisted their departure.

The fall of Haifa speaks volumes about the failure of General Stockwell to discharge his duties and protect the population. The charges against him and his “cooperation” with the invading Zionists remains to this day a black spot on his record.

The handwritten book of signals between the British patrols along the Jaffa-Jerusalem axis and their HQ

Archived footage of a British newsreel which broadcasted the fall of Haifa and the Nakba in 1948

The handwritten book of signals between the British patrols along the Jaffa-Jerusalem axis and their HQ in the critical period of April-May 1948 is a damning record of the British collusion and failure to honor their obligations.

In the wireless Log (No. 129) of Duty Troops (April and May 1948), there are frequent entries showing the refusal of the British Army to rescue Palestinian villagers when attacked by Jews. The army was ordered to watch, report and not to interfere. When Jews asked for help, the troops were ordered to rescue them.

According to the Log, Deir Muheisen village was burning under the mortar of Jewish Haganah and its people were screaming for help while the British forces were watching and doing nothing. Their reports derided the Palestinians by calling them wogs.

The unceremonious departure of the British left the country in a state of chaos and despair. It was the most disgraceful British departure from any place in the British Empire.

Britain did not hand over a functioning government to the Palestinians as its duty dictated. The British left Palestine in the hands of European Jewish settlers who were admitted to the country by Britain, trained by Britain and armed by Britain. The settlers’ first task was to terrorise the British themselves and chase them out of Palestine.

The last High Commissioner of Palestine, Sir Alan Cunningham, left Palestine with no word of goodbye, neither from the losing Arabs nor the winning Jews.

It is indeed amazing and a sorry reflection on British policy, that instead of standing by its obligations to protect Palestinians and to deliver free and democratic Palestine, Britain, one year after the Nakba, together with the United States and France, issued the Tripartite Declaration of 1950 against any attempt to change the status quo, that is the destruction of Palestine and the expulsion of its people.

The history that followed, from the Tripartite Aggression of 1956, also known as the Suez Campaign, to Theresa May’s suppression of freedom of speech about Israel’s atrocities, just shows that Balfour’s legacy is still alive and well in 10 Downing Street.

I am sure the majority of the British people are not in agreement with this shameful legacy.

Demanding justice

After 100 years of Palestinian suffering, we are entitled today to appeal to

ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD CONSCIENCE in Britain, and there are many of them, and in the whole world, to join us in this demand:

We call on the British Government:

To apologise to the Palestinian people for their suffering during a century of death and destruction, still with no end in sight, due to it wilfully or carelessly failing to undertake its duties and obligations,

To pay full compensation for all direct and consequential losses and damages to the Palestinian people,

Ibrahim Hewitt: Everything Israel does is part of a plan, not a forced ‘response’ to ‘terrorism’

To comply with the rules and directives set out in the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice regarding the Wall of 9 July 2004,

To make amends by assisting, as required for the purpose, in the establishment of a free democratic Palestine, by means such as:

By correcting its policies within the United Kingdom and in the international arena such that the inalienable Palestinian rights are fully realised,

By helping, as a primary actor, in the rebuilding of Palestine and the repatriation of its people,

By reflecting the actual Palestinian history and suffering of the people in school curriculum and in the media,

And by any other means found necessary to achieve the aim of a free and independent Palestine.

On all the above, we call on all people of conscience in Britain and the world to stand by these demands for restoring Palestine and bringing justice, freedom and peace to its people.

An excellent read, one which clearly points to the brutalisation of the indigenous Palestinians which continues under Israeli direction to the present without respite.

Will the Royal Family celebrate 100 years of shame by endorsing Israel?

By Stuart Littlewood on March 12, 2017

An official visit during the centenary year of the Balfour Declaration could be another nail in the coffin of the British Monarchy

Obviously there was opposition. Lord Sydenham warned: “The harm done by dumping down an alien population upon an Arab country may never be remedied. What we have done, by concessions not to the Jewish people but to a Zionist extreme section, is to start a running sore in the East, and no-one can tell how far that sore will extend.”

Well, we know now, a hundred years on.

So what was behind it? I like the account of Jewish businessman Benjamin Freedman who gave a speech at the Willard Hotel, Washington, in 1961. He told his audience that Britain, in WW1, was in dire straits thanks to the success of the German U-boats. She was alone, almost out of ammunition and on the edge of starvation. Germany offered peace terms, and while Britain chewed it over the Zionists of Germany (representing the Zionists of Eastern Europe who wanted an end to the Czar) came to London and said: “We will guarantee to bring the United States into the war as your ally, to fight with you on your side, if you will promise us Palestine after you win the war.” And that was the bargain Britain struck, in October 1916, overturning earlier pledges to the Arabs for their help.

And having done their bit, the Zionists wanted a ‘receipt’ – written confirmation of Britain’s pledge. Hence Balfour’s infamous ‘declaration’ in November the following year, a grubby note addressed to Lord Rothschild promising to pay off the Zionists with land that wasn’t Britain’s to give.

    ->http://www.veteranstoday.COM/2017/03/12/will-the-royal-family-celebrate-100-years-of-shame-by-endorsing-israel/

But we really have no idea yet how far that sore will run. The Zionists have demonstrated that they have no respect for anyone and will kill and immiserate everyone to their own advantage without compunction. With their stolen nuclear technology they have targeted our cities and threaten us with blackmail.

Do you want a Jewish people with no country? And think it to be best the the Jewish people is entlited to- people yes, country no. Hypocrite!

      • TecumsehUnfaced

What do you mean a Jewish people? Are you crass enough to blame the vast atrocities of the criminal European Zionist Cult on all Jews? That’s very anti-Semitic. Judaism is only a religion spread among many people, hence there is no need for the ruthless Zionist gangsters among them to proclaim a phony need to genocidally steal another people’s country.

      • TecumsehUnfaced

Did you read the article? It exposes to all how utterly despicable was the conduct of both the British and the invader Zionist Cult?

  • Blake

Life has been so unfair on the Palestinians. I – or any westerner for that matter – can visit their homeland and have more freedom of movement than the ones who remain. The refugees mostly arent even allowed home to visit their homeland.

    • neluroman

Neither the Jews are, but that doesn’t moves a nerve in your “sensible ” soul, does it?

      • Blake

So you create the worlds largest/longest suffering refugee population (one of whom is the writer of this article) yet you still play victim? And you wonder why the world hates your sick mad dog entity?

        • neluroman

First off, I am not a victim and not play the victim card. I am not part of the game, I am an observer. And as an observer I have to inform you that Jews too are refugees. Shortly in the aftermath of Israel creation, the Jews living for centuries in the Muslim countries in Arabian Peninsula or North Africa were expelled from these countries with the words,” You Jewish dogs, go to Israel, that is now your home!” Of course, no compensations have ever paid to them for the wealthy they left behind. They are not refugees? And keep in mind this, Jordan is two thirds of Palestine. Practically there is no any difference between Arabs living in Jordan and Arabs living in West Bank or Gaza. However, when in 1970s the refugees, you are talking about, found a home in Jordan, they didn’t think to become simply Jordanian citizens, they tried to take over the country. The Jordanian king, Hussein, reacted very violently and had them either expelled out of the country, or murdered – 100.000 Palestinians found their dead in what has remained in history as,” Black September” If you still speak of Palestinian suffering, please, consider this. Yarmook Syrian Camp. There, more Palestinian children died in 5 years of Palestinian-on-Palestinian fights, then in 50 years of Palestinian-on- Jew wars. Think about that before making gratuitous affirmations of who, at the hands of whom, is suffering the most.

          • Blake

Who made the Palestinians refugees in Syria? Illegal immigrant zionist terrorists thats who! What single Jew did the Palestinians make a refugee? What Palestinian was responsible for the Holocaust? You have no rationale. You spout their irrational propaganda. You are one of them. As for the Jews from Arab lands I suggest you go read up on it by Jews from Arab lands who were involved in it.
.Jews of North Africa and the Middle east were needed “As cannon and demographic fodder” for the state, in the words of Hanna Braun, a Haganna terrorist member involved with bringing them into Palestine, and so campaigns of misinformation, intimidation, and false-flag ‘Arab’ terrorism were used to get them to leave their homelands.
Even israeli haaretz said any reasonable person cannot compare the 2 scenarios: “Any reasonable person must acknowledge that the analogy drawn between Palestinians and Mizrahi Jews is unfounded. Palestinian refugees did not want to leave Palestine. Many Palestinian communities were destroyed in 1948, and some 700,000 Palestinians were expelled, or fled, from the borders of historic Palestine. Those who left did not do so of their own volition. [emphasis added]
In contrast, Jews from Arab lands came to this country under the initiative of the State of Israel and Jewish organizations.”
Source: the Israeli daily Haaretz, Hitching a Ride on the Magic Carpet.” (July, 2003)
“In the absence of the European Jews [who preferred to go west], the state of Israel had to bring in Jews from Arab countries. Ben Gurion compared them with the Africans who were brought in as slaves to America.”
            – Israeli historian – Tom Segev, April 1998

You are so transparent i dont even read all what you whined about because I have seen it a million times before. Same cheap political point scoring tactics from white freeloading slavic squatters in Palestine (and their western sayanim)

          • neluroman

Really!!! ” Who made the Palestinians refugees in Syria?” you ask. What has that to do with Palestinians killing ones others, like mad dogs, in Yarmook Syrian Camp? Okay, let’s say that the Jews made them refugees. Is that a green card to killing one others? Where is the logic, you are so much concerned of. My friend, along the history Jews and Christians in the Muslim countries have had a status of second class citizens. This is a fact hard to be contested. Therefore, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that no one wants to be second class citizen. So, when Israel was created many Jews from Middle East and Africa found it the best opportunity for them to live in a country of their own, thing that hadn’t happened for centuries. And those Jews from the Muslim countries who were not willing to leave everything behind them and to go to Israel, were rapidly convinced to do it by their fellow Muslim citizens. Therefore, what are you talking about? What about Palestinians who fled from Palestine during 1948 Israel-Arab war, you are very much wrong. Many of these Palestinians did flee at the urge of the Arab leaders urge. They said: “leave Palestine so we can move in and fight against the Jews at will, without the concern of hurting you. You will return to Palestine once what we won the war”.But the Arabs lost the war and the Palestinians remained permanent refugees. after the king of Jordan, Hussein ( The Kingdom of Jordan is Palestinian territory too) expelled them out of the country in 1970. And appro-pos, the Palestinians cannot be responsible for Holocaust, simply, because at the time of Holocaust the term, Palestinian, was yet to be invented. Threfore, your question, ” What Palestinian was responsible for the Holocaust?” is irrational. And keep in mind this: two thirds of the land of Palestine is today the Kingdom of Jordan. Why only the Arabs to have rights over Palestine and the Jews don’t? Really why?

          • Blake

Not just in Syria the worlds largest/longest suffering refugee population in the world. Not only are you a natural born lying slavic zionist jew u r sick to the extreme. Now bug off

          • neluroman

You’ve got everything wrong. I am not “slavic” but Latin; I’am not ” zionist jew” but Christian. And certainly I am not a liar or an ignorant, like you, but quite the contrary, a connoisseur and a fair observer of the world. Unlike you, I have arguments, whereas all what you can is to blah, blah, blah around the questions you are asked, without instead to have answers to them, as then to do all what those like you would do: go ad-hominem. But I’am not surprised by your prestation- those like you, simply, cannot do more.

The only real oppresion is your mentality: the Arabian Peninsula must be Arabian only. No my friend, that has never been and will never be the reality. Maybe, if you accepted this reality, you could collect more sympathy from the rest of the world. and a Palestinian state would have much more chances to make its appearance on the world stage. But instead, you want everything, even if you have had enough time to realize that such a desiderate is an impossible solution.Be realist! Be smart! Be peaceful! This is the only way out of the deadlock you are in.There is no other one.

SHIA MUSLIMS OF BASRA, IRAQ, ARE GENETIC COUSINS OF ABRAHAM

Who do you think are the closest relatives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob? The people of Southern Iraq or someone from Lithuania, Poland, Russia? Of course, the people of Southern Iraq. Ur, the ancestral land of Abraham is only a few miles away from Basra, Iraq, whereas Russia, Lithuania are thousands of miles away. The Shia Muslims of Southern Iraq are the blood cousins of the Abraham and no Ashenazi Jew is.

            a) Where are Abraham and Sarah from? Ur, Iraq, right?

            b) Who did Abraham’s son, Isaac, marry? His cousin Rebekah from Ur, Iraq, right?

            c) Who did Isaac’s son Jacob marry? He married two sisters, his cousins from Ur, Iraq, right?

            d) The DNA of the 12 Tribes is from no other place on earth but only from Ur, Iraq, right?

            e) Where do the Jews get the idea that what they call “Judea” (the West Bank) is their ancestral land whereas that land was called Canaan and not Israel until after the Gang of Abraham-Isaac-Jacob stole it … ordered to steal it by their god.

            f) See how the Jews’ God was teaching them to be criminal bandits? Here is the Jews’ God:

Genesis 15:18 I will give your descendants the land east of the Shihor River on the border of Egypt as far as the Euphrates River. 19 They will possess the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaites, 21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

          • neluroman

Who was Abraham? In what history book he is mentioned? Oh yeah, you come up now with Biblical arguments. Is Bible no more a corrupted book, as so many times you (the Muslims) have pretended? Helen, each one of us could come up with Biblical. Koranic, historic, scientific arguments to support a point of view. This is a way with no end, as so many times has been proved to be. Let’s take another approach. The land of Palestine has moved along the history from the hands of someone to the hands of someone else, always, but always, by the means of war. Not at least once in history or in the Biblical stories, someone got the land of Palestine in a peaceful way. And simply, the Jews have been the last winners. David won over Goliath, and …. this is the end of the story. Had been different, the Arabs to be the last winners for the land of Palestine, then, 110% that no one, here on earth or up in the sky, would have given the Jews a country. The Arabs conquered the land of Palestine by sword and lost it by sword too. You cannot logically argue that to conquer a land by sword is legal and moral at a point in history, but to reconquer it years or centuries later is illegal and immoral. You cannot do that, certainly. Oh yeah, whether or not the Palestinians are entitled to a part of the land over which they fought four wars and lost them all, yes, this is debatable. And if this conflict is to be settled once and forever, then a Palestinian state beside a Jewish one might be the best solution. However, this possibility doesn’t change the facts- David won and Goliath lost. And always but always in such conditions, the winner dictates the terms of the peace and takes the lion share. Okay, Israel must make concessions if it wants to end this cycle or war and respite – peace, it would be a little to much to say. Here is the only place where the Israelis versus Palestinians game is playing, the rest is more than clear for those who can understand things and facts.

          • Helen4Yemen

            a) Therefore, the “coming back” fraud is out since a people with 0% DNA link to a region cannot come back, right?

            b) “God gave me” is out since you say “bible is a corrupted book”, right?

            c) Might makes right, that the Jew took the land by force? Why did this Jew not take Kenya or England by force? Why Palestine?

            d) You say winners of war get to keep property? America won against Germany but did America claim Germanhy belongs to America?

No matter how you slice it, this white man on the land of Palestine is a colonial settler like the British in Kenya and the French in Algeria.

          • neluroman

Helen, for God sake, how could I make you understand something, irrespective of what that something means, when you refuse the logical reasoning. In a nutshell, let me explain you once again the reason that stayed behind the creation of Israel, the modern Israel. Therefore, what we had in Palestine prior to 1918 was that the Ottoman Empire had been ruling this land for 400 years. But, in the aftermath of World War I this empire collapsed and the Ottomans vanished from the world map. In these conditions Palestine’s land became some kind of NO-MAN-LAND, with two important and distinct groups of population (Arabian and Jewish) fighting ones others for this land. The International community could not stay idly by and accept these massacres, could it? And how this international community intervened. Let me explain. International Community: ” Arabs, you are the biggest group, you have been in Palestine for hundreds of years. You have the right to 70% of the land. (And Jordan was created) Jews, you are the smallest group;you have been here for thousands of years; you get 23% of the land. The rest of the land, 7%, including the status of Jerusalem, is yet to be decided”.And simply, the Jews accepted the partitions and the Arabs rejected it choosing instead to go to war. But they have lost the war and once with it they have lost any rights over Jerusalem and the undistributed land End of the story! Helen, your analogy to Germany is wrong. Germany was a German before the war, and, consequently, remained German after the war. Americans, have never ever in history built or lived over there. On the other hand, Jews have lived in Palestine for thousands of years and are the only ones who have ever built there state formations, aka the the Jewish kingdoms of Judea, Samaria and Israel. Neither your other theory, “Ashkenazi theory” is better. It is upon Jews to decide who is a Israeli and who is not.

          • Helen4Yemen

How many of the Jews in Palestine in 1918 were European?

          • neluroman

It is really amusing how you don’t want to accept elementary logic. I try once again, as simply as possible. In the aftermath of the Ottoman Empire callapse in the land of Palestine there no more any state formations, but only two groups of people struggling to create one of their own. These two groups were Arab Muslims and Arab Jews. How many were ones or others is not a matter of principle. The basic principle here is that if you give the right to a country of their own to one of these groups, you have to do the same for the other group. The Arab Jews asked for a country of their own, and the International Community could not reject this demand only and only because the Arab Muslims didn’t like it. And once what Israel – as the country of Arab Jews- was established, it was the right of the Jews to decide whether Askhenazi or someone else are Israelis or not. If Israel is today bigger than was initially established, this is due to the Arab’s greed. They wanted as the entire Palestine to belong exclusively to them, and they started a war with the Jews because of this. Unfortunately for them, they lost the war and once with it they lost other unattributed Palestinian territories, as well as that part of Jerusalem that had been attibuted to them. Helen, simpler than this it can’t be. If you still not understand, then…… it means you don’t want to. If you want me in your home, to be part of your family. who are your neighbours to decide what is good and what is wrong for you? Think about!

          • Helen4Yemen

            GOODBYE!

          • Helen4Yemen

“On the other hand, Jews have lived in Palestine for thousands of years”

Then tell me why their DNA is at 0% Middle East and 99.9% European?

At 0% ancestry ties to Palstine but at 99.9% ancestry to Europe, what is the Ashkenazi doing on Arab land? I thought Hitler had been dead for decades? Why not go home to where your 99.9% of your DNA is from?

            – Would the Algerians been happy with the French partitioning their land?
            – Would the Egyptians been happy with the British partitioning their land?
            – Would the Libyans been happy with the Italians partitioning their land?

The answer is NO! Why would Palestinians allow the foreign European-Ashkenazis to partition their land? Isn’t the Ashkenazi just as European as the French, the English, the Italians?

          • TecumsehUnfaced

This ‘neluroman’ is a fount of junk Zionist history and broken logic, isn’t he? He just called me a hypocrite.

          • Helen4Yemen

It is like a drowning man reaching out to a straw! What I am finding is that when I mention that Abraham-Isaac-Jacob were not from Palestine but from Ur, Iraq that all of a sudden, of them are disowning Abraham and the rest. Amazing! They feel that if Abraham is from Ur and not from Palestine, how then could they claim Palestine to be their ancestral land? But if they abandon Abraham as the reason for being in Palestine, what other reasons are left? They say conquest. But we need to step back and ask why the Ashkenaz was after Palestine and not after Kenya or Uganda? With the dismissal of Abraham as fairly-tale , ‘the coming back” is also gone as an excuse. They are left with nothing and their explanations become incoherent.

          • TecumsehUnfaced

Also, their “Promised Land” becomes a promise to a native of Ur.

          • Helen4Yemen

We got to bring up Ur at every turn, because I did not know that they wanted the world to know as if they emerged out of Palestine. They hate the mention of Ur … so much so that they disown their prophets! Imagine Muslims disowning Muhammad! At that very moment, they become non-Muslims … but weird that these folks disown Abraham-Isaac-Jacob -only if the word Ur is mentioned alongside their names, and still claim to be Jews.

          • TecumsehUnfaced

It shows that the first adherence of Zionists isn’t Judaism, or Jews, but rather European land grabbing. By their primary motivations they are imperialists, colonists, and land-greedy bigots.

          • Helen4Yemen

Zionism = Judaism … or else being a Jew means not believing in the Torah?
            Yes or no?

Deuteronomy 1:7 Leave this place and go into the land that belongs to the Amorites and their neighbors the Canaanites. This land includes the Jordan River valley, the hill country, the western foothills, the Southern Desert, the Mediterranean seacoast, the Lebanon Mountains, and all the territory as far as the Euphrates River. 8 I give you this land, just as I promised your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Now you must go and take the land.

Joseph Weitz || Between ourselves it must be clear that there is no room for both peoples together in this country. We shall not achieve our goal if the Arabs are in this small country. There is no other way than to transfer the Arabs from here to neighboring countries – all of them. Not one village, not one tribe should be left.||

          • TecumsehUnfaced

Your knowledge of history is very bad. The Arabs kicked out the Byzantines, placed themselves at the top of the power structure, and kept the rest in place, who gradually adopted Arab culture and religion. The Arabs were not like the European invader thugs of the Zionist Cult, who did the viciousness of ethnic cleansing with massacres like this…

            Eyewitness Accounts[Deir Yassin]

The eyewitness accounts of these events foreshadowed the fate of the Palestinian people.

It was noon when the battle ended and the shooting stopped. Things had become quiet, but the village had not surrendered. The IZL (Irgun) and Lehi (Stern Gang) irregulars left the places in which they had been hiding and started carrying out clean-up operations in the houses. They fired with all the arms they had, and threw explosives into the buildings. They also shot everyone they saw in the houses, including women and children – indeed the commanders made no attempt to check the disgraceful acts of slaughter. I myself and a number of inhabitants begged the commanders to give orders to their men to stop shooting, but our efforts were unsuccessful. In the meantime, some twenty-five men had been brought out of the houses: they were loaded into a freight truck and led in a ‘victory parade,’ like a Roman triumph, through to Mahaneh Yehudah and Zikhron Yosef quarters [of Jerusalem]. At the end of the parade they were taken to a stone quarry between Giv’at Shaul and Deir Yasin and shot in cold blood. The fighters then put the women and children who were still alive on a truck and took them to the Mandelbaum Gate. [54]

The director of the International Red Cross in Palestine, Jacques de Reynier, attempted to intervene as word of the slaughter spread. His personal testimony is as follows:

… The Commander of the Irgun detachment did not seem willing to receive me. At last he arrived, young, distinguished, and perfectly correct, but there was a peculiar glitter in his eyes, cold and cruel. According to him the Irgun had arrived twenty-four hours earlier and ordered the inhabitants by loudspeaker to evacuate all houses and surrender: the time given to obey the order was a quarter of an hour. Some of these miserable people had come forward and were taken prisoner, to be released later in the direction of the Arab lines. The rest, not having obeyed the order, had met the fate they deserved. But there was no point in exaggerating things, there were only a few dead, and they would be buried as soon as the “clean-up” of the village was over. If I found any bodies, I could take them, but there were certainly no wounded.

This account made my blood run cold. I went back to the Jerusalem road and got an ambulance and a truck that I had alerted through the Red Shield … I reached the village with my convoy, and the firing stopped. The gang (Irgun) was wearing uniforms with helmets. All of them were young, some even adolescents, men and women, armed to the teeth: revolvers, machine-guns, hand grenades, and also cutlasses in their hands, most of them still blood-stained. A beautiful young girl with criminal eyes showed me hers, still dripping with blood; she displayed it like a trophy. This was the “clean-up” team, that was obviously performing its task very conscientiously.

I tried to go into a house. A dozen soldiers surrounded me, their machine-guns aimed at my body, and their officer forbade me to move. The dead, if any, would be brought to me, he said. I then flew into one of the most towering rages of my life, telling these criminals what I thought of their conduct, threatening them with everything I could think of, and then pushed them aside and went into the house.

The first room was dark, everything was in disorder, but there was no one. In the second, amid disembowelled furniture and all sorts of debris, I found some bodies, cold. Here the “clean-up” had been done with machine guns, then hand grenades. It had been finished off with knives, anyone could see that. The same thing in the next room, but as I was about to leave, I heard something like a sigh. I looked everywhere, turned over all the bodies, and eventually found a little foot, still warm. It was a little girl of ten, mutilated by a hand grenade, but still alive … everywhere it was the same horrible sight … there had been four hundred people in this village; about fifty of them had escaped and were still alive. All the rest had been deliberately massacred in cold blood for, as I observed for myself, this gang was admirably disciplined and only acted under orders.

After another visit to Deir Yasin I went back to my office where I was visited by two gentlemen, well-dressed in civilian clothes, who had been waiting for me for more than an hour. They were the commander of the Irgun detachment and his aide. They had prepared a paper which they wanted me to sign. It was a statement to the effect that I had been very courteously received by them, and obtained all the facilities I had requested, in the accomplishment of my mission, and thanking them for the help I had received. As I showed signs of hesitation and even started to argue with them, they said that if I valued my life, I had better sign immediately. The only course open to me was to convince them that I did not value my life in the least. [55]

By 1947, all that the Europeans with their huge pile of European money was able to acquire was only 6.6% of Palestine. How did the Europeans acquiree the rest of it? He STOLE IT.

The Nazi Holocaust that devastated European Jewry and virtually destroyed its centuries-old culture also wiped out the great European population centers of Sephardi Jewry and led to the almost complete demise of its unique language and traditions. Sephardi Jewish communities from France and the Netherlands in the northwest to Yugoslavia and Greece in the southeast almost disappeared.

On the eve of World War II, the European Sephardi community was concentrated in the Balkan countries of Greece, Yugoslavia, and Bulgaria. Its leading centers were in Salonika, Sarajevo, Belgrade, and Sofia.

Jabotinsky on the Palestinians – yep the Palestinians:

There is no choice: the Arabs must make room for the Jews in Eretz Israel. If it was possible to transfer the Baltic peoples, it is also possible to move the Palestinian Arabs.

This is equally true of the Arabs. Our Peace-mongers are trying to persuade us that the Arabs are either fools, whom we can deceive by masking our real aims, or that they are corrupt and can be bribed to abandon to us their claim to priority in Palestine , in return for cultural and economic advantages. I repudiate this conception of the Palestinian Arabs. Culturally they are five hundred years behind us, they have neither our endurance nor our determination; but they are just as good psychologists as we are, and their minds have been sharpened like ours by centuries of fine-spun logomachy. We may tell them whatever we like about the innocence of our aims, watering them down and sweetening them with honeyed words to make them palatable, but they know what we want, as well as we know what they do not want. They feel at least the same instinctive jealous love of Palestine, as the old Aztecs felt for ancient Mexico, and the Sioux for their rolling Prairies.

How the Arab Jews left: It lists how many Arab Jews were still in their own Arab countries in 1948, 1958, 1968, 1978. The Arab Jews were not expelled but left on their own. What kind of “expulsion” takes

Because the church dogma at the time referred to the Jewish as the Christ Killers. More people have been killed in the name of religion than anything else. Islamist are very honest about their ambition to have the banner of Islam fly over 100% of the Middle East land mass. Please think before you post, Helen.

The Frayed Truth of Operation Magic Carpet

Israel recalls the aliyah of 50,000 Yemenite Jews as a miracle, but a new book claims the mission was both a tragedy and a sham.

            Vered Lee May 28, 2012

In Israel’s collective memory, the aliyah from Yemen is remembered as a rescue: Jews were whisked from oppression and replanted safely in the Land of Israel.
Operation Magic Carpet, as it became known, heralded the first wave of Jewish immigration from the Muslim world. The conventional view holds that from June 1949 to September 1950, nearly 50,000 Yemenite Jews traveled through space and time from the backward nation of Yemen to the modern and advanced State of Israel. In legend and lore, Operation Magic Carpet was a miraculous journey toward redemption, but according to a new book, this symbol is as hollow and glamorized as a fairy tale.
In “The Exodus of the Yemenite Jews – A Failed Operation and a Formative Myth,” published by Resling, Dr. Esther Meir-Glitzenstein reveals the how this mythic larger-than-life rescue operation was actually organized and describes the heavy toll it exacted upon the people it intended to save.
The story of the Yemenite aliyah was intentionally spun as an enchanting fairy tale in order to mask that it actually didn’t go well at all, explains Meir-Glitzenstein, a senior lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
No fewer than 700,000 Jews reached Israel during the state’s first years. What made the aliyah from Yemen unique among the early waves of immigration was the heavy death toll, she says.
The Yemenite immigrants arrived hungry and sick at the transit camp set up for them in the Yemenite port city of Aden, after having walked hundreds of kilometers, she says. But the camp didn’t have the facilities to care for them.
About 700 of the Jewish migrants died at the camp were buried in an adjacent cemetery. An additional 150 travelers, suffering from a lack of basic necessities on the journey, died between the border of the British-controlled Protectorate of Aden and North Yemen.
Then when the immigrants reached Israel, the fatalities continued. Post-immigration infant mortality rates ran high. While the myth-spinners of Operation Magic Carpet chalked up these tragedies to the difficult situation in Yemen, the book reveals that the deaths were actually a result of disastrous management. Refugees died, Meir-Glitzenstein says, because of incompetent planning, apathy and abandonment.
Who was responsible for this tragedy?
The exodus of Jews from Yemen was planned with the cooperation of imam of Yemen who ruled North Yemen, the British authorities in Aden, the State of Israel, the Jewish Agency and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. Every party played a role in the tragedy, Meir-Glitzenstein says. “The imam, who profited hugely from property and confiscatory taxes levied on the Jewish community, didn’t lift a finger to help his subjects, who were desperate for aid. The British didn’t help either.”
But the lion’s share of the blame lies with the Joint Distribution Committee, Meir-Glitzenstein says.
From the moment the rescue effort began, she contends, the JDC took control – and subsequently failed at every single point.
A scheduled airlift did not arrive on time. There wasn’t enough shelter, food or medicine for the displaced Jews. Perhaps most egregiously, Meir-Glitzenstein says, the JDC abandoned thousands of Jews in the barren desert that straddles the North Yemen-Aden border.
As for assistance that did arrive, it was too little, too late.
But the JDC is not the only culpable party. “The Israeli government agreed to let the JDC handle the operation,” Meir-Glitzenstein says. “That means that they, too, shared some of the blame for this tragedy.”
How did this fiasco became a basic myth, one tied to the religious notions of salvation and national redemption?
That would be because of classic propaganda, says Meir-Glitzenstein.
At the height of the aliyah from Yemen, the leadership of the JDC sent a press release to the media, describing Operation Magic Carpet as a successful rescue operation that brought the Jews of Yemen back to their ancestral homeland, she says. And the heavy price paid by the immigrants? Conveniently left out. Also not mentioned were mistakes in implementation and unfulfilled promises.
The organizers of the mission were depicted as saviors, Meir-Glitzenstein says. “The mass exodus of Yemenite Jews was explained in terms of a messianic awakening among a religious community that spent 2,000 years longing for redemption. The religio-messianic myth was later ascribed to subsequent waves of immigration from Muslim countries.”
Is there a conspiracy of silence surrounding this issue?
Of sorts, yes, Meir-Glitzenstein says. According to her research, three separate Knesset committees reviewed the operation. They discovered that some of the Israelis stationed in Aden, including senior JDC staffers, engaged in black-market smuggling. They knew the immigrants suffering but didn’t care. Some staffers went so far as to beat the pilgrims with clubs and steal what little property they had managed to take with them.
In response to the Knesset inquiries, the JDC replaced their representatives in Aden. “But not a single JDC staffer was ever indicted,” Meir-Glitzenstein says.
And it’s not as if the abuses were a secret. “Many people outside the JDC were aware of what was going on, among them Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and other senior government ministers,” she says. “Everyone kept silent. Maybe they wanted to protect the State of Israel, since it was so new, and maybe they were concerned about the reputation of the JDC, which played a big part in bringing Jews to Israel and helping them settle.”
How did the aliyah narrative of Yemenite Jewry affect their absorption into Israeli society?
Approximately 30,000 sick and battered immigrants arrived from Yemen, but Israelis, Meir-Glitzenstein says, was under the impression that conditions in Yemen were to blame.
Among the sick were 3,000 infants in grave condition. Israel was not equipped to provide treatment.
And after all that, since Israeli society was under the impression that it had saved these immigrants and brought them to a better place, Israelis expected gratitude.
Even today in Israel, no one understands the price these immigrants paid, Meir-Glitzenstein says. “There is not a single monument in Israel dedicated to those who died on the journey from Yemen. They have been erased both from historical memory and public consciousness.”

Yeah, whatever. We see here again the only recourse of the Palestinian-hating zionist, which is to start screaming about “Islamist propaganda” when confronted with the truth.

Barring the fact that the Palestinian and Lebanese opposition to Israel is rooted in nationalism, it’s just a ludicrous accusation in general.

“Of course, you might have been very, very, super sarcastic in your post. Then… mea culpa, I understood you wrong. ,”

            Nope. I was dead serious.

You have to be really sick in the head to shriek and scream over a handful of “settlers” (who aren’t civilians anyways) while at the same time denying that Israel has killed any innocent people at all.

UNRWA definition of a Palestine refugee in 1952: “A Palestine refugee is [a person] whose normal residence was Palestine for a [minimum period of two years] preceding the outbreak of the conflict in 1948 and who, as a result of this conflict has lost both his home and his means of livelihood.”

The definition of “refugees” omitted the reference to persons of Arab origin in the 1948 General Assembly proposal, and opened the possibility of including all stateless persons who had been residents of Palestine for a minimum of two years.

“Why not go home to where your 99.9% of your DNA is from?” Because history dealt Jewish a different hand. Neither the Crusaders nor the Nazis paused to ask whether someone was Ashkenazi or Sephardi, pious or unlearned, before slaughtering a Jew(s). The Jews were Christ killers to the Church, and genetically inferior to the Nazis was the excuse. And when a Palestinian terrorist launches an attack, he doesn’t stop to assess whether his intended victim is wearing a kippa, or no headcovering at all. They have struck all Jews across the centuries regardless of their genetic, political, social, economic or religious standing. Do you get the point!

  • neluroman

First off, 100 years ago the “Palestinian people” were yet to be invented. All people in Palestine were either Arabs or Jews, with the Arabs first class citizens and the Jews second class citizens. In 1215 Magna Charta of King John made a historical reparation to the people of England against the abuses of the Crown – the first real step of the people of England toward democracy. However, without the sacrifice of many, many people along the history of England (Great Britain), democracy would be today still just a dream, and Magna Charta a document like many others, forgotten in some library. The same can be said about Balfour Declaration. It also made a historical reparation to the Jews against the Arab oppressors. But, Balfour Declaration would have been egal to zero if the Jews had not won those four wars they fought against the Arab states, which attacked them with the intention do drive them into the Mediterranean Sea. That the Arabs, who now call themselves Palestinians, want a country of their own, yes, this can be understood. What instead is hard to be understood is why history must be massacred for a more legitimacy to their demand. Do they think that we, the rest of the world, are so stupid to believe their 1001Nights Fairy Tales like history? And appro-pos, this day is Christmas, so, let me say the traditional words in such occasion: ” CHRISTOS HAS RESSURECTED!” for all, whether they belive it or not.

I am an atheist, so how can you or I I speak to something that was supposedly said 8,000 generations ago. Give it a break Helen, and attempt to use your brain. The stories in ancient texts are mostly fantasy and fiction. The stories belong to humanity, but they are not facts, anymore that was God said to Mose, Jesus, and Muhammad, when they were alone, with no one around to here the conversations. I am still curious as to what language Adam and Eve spoke, and who dictated that story of their creation.

“The stories in ancient texts are mostly fantasy and fiction.”

        Then explain this:
“Natanyahu” (Mileikoswy): “I feel deeply honored and privileged to stand here before you today representing the citizens of the state of Israel. We are an ancient people. We date back nearly 4,000 years to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We have journeyed through time. We’ve overcome the greatest of adversities. And we re-established our sovereign state in our ancestral homeland, the land of Israel. Now, the Jewish people’s odyssey through time has taught us two things: Never give up hope, always remain vigilant. Hope charts the future. Vigilance protects it.”

Jews are a collective people that have maintained laws and traditions, not a specific race. Many of the stories in ancient texts are fantasy and fiction, regardless of whose ancient religious texts we are referring to. Muslims believe that every word in the Qur’an the verbatim words of God. Good luck to them as well.

How does that explain the theft of Palestine ? ? ? European Christians too are
“a collective people that have maintained laws and traditions, not a specific race.” right? How then to explain why the Ashkenaz was after Palestine and not the Christians? What “next year in Jerusalem” mean? That lily-white Europeans had the right to seize the land?
            ….
            David Ben-Gurion (1899):

            You lie again.

            The Butchery Begins: Deir Yasin

The process was one of sustained slaughter as village after village was wiped out. The killing was intended to cause people to flee for their lives.

The commander of the Haganah, Zvi Ankori, described what happened: “I saw cut off genitalia and women’s crushed stomachs … It was direct murder.” [52]

Menachem Begin gloated over the impact throughout Palestine of the Nazi-like operations he commanded at Deir Yasin. Lehi and IZL Commandos stormed the village of Deir Yasin on April 9, 1948, slaughtering 254 men, women and children.

A legend of terror spread amongst Arabs who were seized with panic at the mention of our Irgun soldiers. It was worth half a dozen battalions to the forces of Israel. Arabs throughout the country … were seized with limitless panic and started to flee for their lives. This mass flight soon developed into a maddened, uncontrollable stampede. Of the 800,000 Arabs who lived on the present territory of the state of Israel, only some 165,000 are still there. The political and economic significance of this development can hardly be overestimated. [53]

The implementation of this program was carried out in part by Menachem Begin and in part by his future successor as Prime Minister, Yitzhak Shamir, as military commanders of the Irgun and the Lohamei Herut Israel (Lehi), i.e., Fighters for the Freedom of Israel. Inhabitants were force marched in blood-soaked clothing through the streets of Jerusalem to jeering on-lookers, before disappearing.

The Colony and Protectorate of Kenya was part of the British Empire in Africa from 1920 until 1963. It was established when the former East Africa Protectorate was transformed into a British Crown colony in 1920. Technically, the “Colony of Kenya” referred to the interior lands, while a 16-kilometre (10 mi) coastal strip (nominally on lease from the Sultan of Zanzibar) was the “Protectorate of Kenya” but the two were controlled as a single administrative unit. The colony came to an end in 1963.

It is a very long history, but the first enduring Jewish agricultural settlement in the Modern Palestine was founded not by European refugees, but by a group of old-time families, leaving the overcrowded Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. According to the Turkish census of 1875, by that time Jews already constituted a majority of the population of Jerusalem and by 1905 comprised two-thirds of its citizens. The Encyclopedaedia Britanica of 1910 gives the population figure as 60,000, of who 40,000 were Jews.

In 1878 they found the village of Petah Tikva in the Sharon Palin, a village that was to become known as the “Mother of Jewish Settlements” in Palestine. Four years later a group of pioneer immigrants from Russia settled in Rishon le-Zion. Other villages followed in rapid succession. All land sales, under the Ottoman Empire, had to be approved by Islamic Courts. Non Muslims paid extra taxes therefore it was good business.

Most of the land purchases involved large tracts belonging to absentee owners. Virtually all of the the Jerzeel Valley, for example, had belonged to only two people in 1897, the eastern portion to the Turkish Sultan, and the Western part to a rich banker in Syria, Sursuk the Greek. Most of the land had not be cultivated previously and considered uncultivable, This is supported by the Peel Commission Report.

Ilan Pappé in one of his books, he mentioned how when the very early settlers came, the very early Jewish settlers came to Palestine in the late 19th century, they couldn’t plant lettuce. They couldn’t plant food. They were dying of malaria. They were sick and the Palestinians, the farmers would come and help them because they were starving and they were sick. In their diaries, those same Jewish settlers were talking about how these aliens, we have to rid our country of these foreign aliens which are the Arabs.

So I mean the ideology that the Arabs are the aliens and this land is ours runs very deep.

“You, Helen, are here because of something more current. Manifest Destiny”

That is a closed chapter in the history of mankind. That is the wrong comparison. Why go to ancient history? Why not compare one European colonizer of Arab lands to another, the French and the British to the Ashkenazi? Compare apples with apples? The French colonized Algeria for over 132 years and 1,000,000 French were forced to leave Algeria in 1962 – and the British who colonized Aden, Yemen, for 160 years were forced out by the people of Aden in 1967. Isn’t the Ashkenaz just as European as the British and the French?

        • peepsqueek

Again, history dealt the Jewish people a different hand.

The Jews of Syria and Lebanon, then a single country under French Mandate, were saved because British forces conquered the region in June, 1941. But Jews in Morocco and Algeria did not fare as well.

The Vichy government introduced “Nuremberg Laws” French style. Jewish students were expelled form schools. Jewish officials were fired from government jobs and restrictions were imposed on all Jews.

In Morocco and Algeria, Jewish community leaders were detained in desert prison camps and the food ration for Jews was reduced below that of the rest of the population. The Military Governor of Morocco signed an order establishing concentration camps for Jews.

In Algeria, a Jewish council or Judenrat, was established to assist in the implementation of the Nazi plan. Adolf Eichmann’s envoy to France, Theodor Danker, drafted plans to transport Jews to Marseilles by sea and then by train to Auschwitz. The Allied invasion of North Africa on November 8, 1942, saved the Jews there from annihilation. But Jews were killed by the Nazis or their collaborators in Tunisia and also in Iraq.

          • TecumsehUnfaced

But the Zionists murdered millions of non-Zionist Jews by blocking their escape from Hitler to other countries. You Zionist thugs provide no sanctuary at all to Jews. You are Jew killers.

            Sacrificing Europe’s Jews

The correlative to the acts of collaboration with the Nazis throughout the 1930’s was that when attempts to change the immigration laws of the United States and Western Europe were contemplated in order to provide token refuge for persecuted Jews of Europe, it was the Zionists who actively organized to stop these efforts.

Ben Gurion informed a meeting of Labor Zionists in Great Britain in 1938: “If I knew that it would be possible to save all the children in Germany by bringing them over to England and only half of them by transporting them to Eretz Israel, then I opt for the second alternative.” [84] This obsession with colonizing Palestine and overwhelming the Arabs led the Zionist movement to oppose any rescue of the Jews facing extermination, because the ability to deflect select manpower to Palestine would be impeded. From 1933 to 1935, the WZO turned down two-thirds of all the German Jews who applied for immigration certificates.

Berel Katznelson, editor of the Labor Zionist Davar, described the “cruel criteria of Zionism”: German Jews were too old to bear children in Palestine, lacked trades for building a Zionist colony, didn’t speak Hebrew and weren’t Zionists. In place of these Jews facing extermination the WZO brought to Palestine 6,000 trained young Zionists from the United States, Britain and other safe countries. Worse than this, the WZO not merely failed to seek any alternative for the Jews facing the Holocaust, the Zionist leadership opposed belligerently all efforts to find refuge for fleeing Jews.

As late as 1943, while the Jews of Europe were being exterminated in their millions, the US Congress proposed to set up a commission to “study” the problem. Rabbi Stephen Wise, who was the principal American spokesperson for Zionism, came to Washington to testify against the rescue bill because it would divert attention from the colonization of Palestine.

This is the same Rabbi Wise who, in 1938, in his capacity as leader of the American Jewish Congress, wrote a letter in which he opposed any change in US immigration laws which would enable Jews to find refuge. He stated:

It may interest you to know that some weeks ago the representatives of all the leading Jewish organizations met in conference … It was decided that no Jewish organization would, at this time, sponsor a bill which would in any way alter the immigration laws.[85].

            Fighting Asylum

The entire Zionist establishment made its position unmistakable in its response to a motion by 227 British members of Parliament calling on the government to provide asylum in British territories for persecuted Jews. The meager undertaking which was prepared was as follows:

His Majesty’s Government issued some hundreds of Mauritius and other immigration permits in favor of threatened Jewish families. [86]

But even this token measure was opposed by the Zionist leaders. At a Parliamentary meeting on January 27, 1943, when the next steps were being pursued by over one hundred members of Parliament, a spokesperson for the Zionists announced that they opposed this motion because it did not contain preparations for the colonization of Palestine. This was a consistent stance.

Chaim Weizmann, the Zionist leader who had arranged the Balfour Declaration and was to become the first president of Israel, made this Zionist policy very explicit:

The hopes of Europe’s six million Jews are centered on emigration. I was asked: “Can you bring six million Jews to Palestine?” I replied, “No.” … From the depths of the tragedy I want to save … young people [for Palestine]. The old ones will pass. They will bear their fate or they will not. They are dust, economic and moral dust in a cruel world … Only the branch of the young shall survive. They have to accept it. [87]

Yitzhak Gruenbaum, the chairperson of the committee set up by the Zionists, nominally to investigate the condition of European Jews, said:

When they come to us with two plans – the rescue of the masses of Jews in Europe or the redemption of the land – I vote, without a second thought, for the redemption of the land. The more said about the slaughter of our people, the greater the minimization of our efforts to strengthen and promote the Hebraisation of the land. If there would be a possibility today of buying packages of food with the money of the Karen Hayesod [United Jewish Appeal] to send it through Lisbon, would we do such a thing? No. And once again no! [88]].

            Betraying the Resistance

In July 1944, the Slovakian Jewish leader Rabbi Dov Michael Weissmandel in a letter to Zionist officials charged with these “rescue organizations,” proposed a series of measures to save the Jews scheduled for liquidation at Auschwitz. He offered exact mappings of the railways and urged the bombing of the tracks on which the Hungarian Jews were being transported to the crematoria.

He appealed for the bombing of the furnaces at Auschwitz, for the parachuting of ammunition to 80,000 prisoners, for the parachuting of saboteurs to blow up all the means of annihilation and thus end the cremation of 13,000 Jews every day.

Should the Allies refuse the organized and public demand by the “rescue organizations”, Weissmandel proposed that the Zionists, who had funds and organization, obtain airplanes, recruit Jewish volunteers and carry out the sabotage. [89]

Weissmandel was not alone. Throughout the late thirties and forties, Jewish spokespersons in Europe cried out for help, for public campaigns, for organized resistance, for demonstrations to force the hand of allied Govemments – only to be met not merely by Zionist silence but by active Zionist sabotage of the meager efforts which were proposed or prepared in Great Britain and the United States.

Here is the cri-de-coeur of Rabbi Weissmandel. Writing to the Zionists in July 1944 he asked incredulously.

Why have you done nothing until now? Who is guilty of this frightful negligence? Are you not guilty, our Jewish brothers: you who have the greatest good fortune in the world – liberty?

We send you – Rabbi Weissmandel wrote again – this special message: to inform you that yesterday the Germans began the deportation of Jews from Hungary … The deported ones go to Auschwitz to be put to death by cyanide gas. This is the schedule, of Auschwitz from yesterday to the end:

Twelve thousand Jews – men, women and children, old men, infants, healthy and sick ones, are to be suffocated daily.

And you, our brothers in Palestine, in all the countries of freedom, and you ministers of all the Kingdoms, how do you keep silent in the face of this great murder?

Silent while thousands upon thousands, reaching now to six million Jews, are murdered? And silent now, while tens of thousands are still being murdered and waiting to be murdered? Their destroyed hearts cry out to you for help as they bewail your cruelty.

Brutal, you are and murderers, too, you are, because of the coldbloodedness of the silence in which you watch, because you sit with folded arms and do nothing, although you could stop or delay the murder of Jews at this very hour.

You, our brothers, sons of Israel, are you insane? Don’t you know the h3ll around us? For whom are you saving your money? Murderers! Madmen! Who is it that gives charity: you who toss a few pennies from your safe homes, or we who give our blood in the depths of h3ll? [90]

No Zionist leader supported his request, nor did the Western capitalist regimes bomb a single concentration camp.

Sounds like you have DNA tested millions and millions of people. Are all the Sephardic Jews that went to live Israel acceptable to you?

          • TecumsehUnfaced

To represent the Ashkenazi, who were the thugs that overran Palestine?

          • Helen4Yemen

Palestine was not created for any other Jew except the lily-white Ashkenazi.
Yes or no? I have no idea what ‘Sephardic’ means. I do not understand Yiddish, speak to me in English.

          • Helen4Yemen

Listen: I do not require millions and millions from you, I only ask you to show me just 1 DNA report of any Ashkenazi who has even 1% Middle East DNA. There are none – or else prove me wrong and present one that does.

What do the Native Indians have in common with the Palestinians?

        a) Both were non-white and the colonizers white Europeans.

        b) Both believed God hates dark-skinned people and favors white Europeans and allows them to take the land of the natives.

c)Both white European predators wanted only the land and not the people and both attempted total cleansing of the land via genocide or expulsion.

Maybe you should compare all tribal people everywhere in the world who have have been taken over by larger or more powerful groups to form Countries.

Egyptians were not Arabs, nor did they speak Arabic. Syrians (Assyrians) were not Arabs, nor did they speak Arabic, Moroccans (Berbers) were not Arabs, nor did they speak Arabic, Iraqis (Assyrians, Turkmen, Shabakis, Yazidis, Armenians, Mandeans, Circassians, and Kawliya) were not Arabs not did they speak Arabic, Libya was not Arab, nor did they speak Arabic, the Sudan (tribal Africa) was not Arab, nor did they speak Arabic, Tunisia was not Arab, nor did they speak Arabic. Why are they all called Arab Countries, belong to the League of “Arab” Nations, and have to live under some form of Islamic Sharia, which is Arabian? Religious philosophy is one thing, but complete take over is another.

          • Helen4Yemen

            a) You are now doing your stupid GODDAMNED copy and paste from your Hasbara Central online documents. You have repeated your GODDAMNED hasbara for the 100th time. You need to understand that the people of North Africa are the same people who adopted Islam and Arabic just like Europe became Christian. What has this to do with the GODDAMNED lily white European Ashkenaz invading Arab land using his silly excuse of “coming back”?

            b) What has any of your GODDAMNED copy and paste got to do with the ASHKENAZ stealing Arab land? I think what you are trying to say is that the Arabs stole it from someone else and therefore lily-white Ashkenaz also had a right to steal, right? Don’t you understand that the British, the French, the Italians, the Germans were in the Middle East much earlier than the Ashkenaz? Why did they not erect a state on Arab land like Ashkenaz did? You can spin it around and whirl it around but the bottom line is that these Ashkenaz on Arab land are predatory colonial settlers like the French in Algeria.

I understand your problem is that I pushed you into a tight corner and you have no idea how to get out. I said:

            a) Abraham-Isaac-Jacob were not from Palestine but from UR – IRAQ and that shut the door for you to claim ancestry to Palestine.

            b) I showed you how DNA has analyzed the ancestry of the Ashkenaz at 99.9% European and 0% Middle Eastern, right? Very hard to refute DNA without looking like an idiot, right?

            c) Therefore, left with no avenues to defend the occupation of Palestine, you went looking for your hasbara agents for consultation.

No copy and paste, but you will find the facts that I post in multiple history websites and encyclopedias.

Second, I do not refuge DNA, I refute your application of DNA so many millions of people that have never even been tested or to divide a collective people that have built a nation. It is you that claims the Middle East is Arab land.

Genetic studies indicate that modern Jews (Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Mizrahi specifically), Levantine Arabs, Assyrians, Samaritans, Maronites, Druze, Mandaeans, and Mhallami, all have an ancient indigenous common Near Eastern heritage which can be genetically mapped back to the ancient Fertile Crescent, but often also display genetic profiles distinct from one another, indicating the different histories of these peoples.—Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza, Paolo Menozzi, Alberto Piazza, The History and Geography of Human Genes

            ABSTRACT

Haplotypes constructed from Y-chromosome markers were used to trace the paternal origins of the Jewish Diaspora. A set of 18 biallelic polymorphisms was genotyped in 1,371 males from 29 populations, including 7 Jewish (Ashkenazi, Roman, North African, Kurdish, Near Eastern, Yemenite, and Ethiopian) and 16 non-Jewish groups from similar geographic locations. The Jewish populations were characterized by a diverse set of 13 haplotypes that were also present in non-Jewish populations from Africa, Asia, and Europe. A series of analyses was performed to address whether modern Jewish Y-chromosome diversity derives mainly from a common Middle Eastern source population or from admixture with neighboring non-Jewish populations during and after the Diaspora. Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level. Admixture estimates suggested low levels of European Y-chromosome gene flow into Ashkenazi and Roman Jewish communities. A multidimensional scaling plot placed six of the seven Jewish populations in a relatively tight cluster that was interspersed with Middle Eastern non-Jewish populations, including Palestinians and Syrians. Pairwise differentiation tests further indicated that these Jewish and Middle Eastern non-Jewish populations were not statistically different. The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.

Jewish religion and culture can be traced back to Semitic tribes that lived in the Middle East approximately 4,000 years ago. The Babylonian exile in 586 B.C. marked the beginning of major dispersals of Jewish populations from the Middle East and the development of various Jewish communities outside of present-day Israel (1). Today, Jews belong to several communities that can be classified according to the location where each community developed. Among others, these include the Middle Eastern communities of former Babylonia and Palestine, the Jewish communities of North Africa and the Mediterranean Basin, and Ashkenazi communities of central and eastern Europe. The history of the Jewish Diaspora—the numerous migrations of Jewish populations and their subsequent residence in various countries in Europe, North Africa, and West Asia—has resulted in a complex set of genetic relationships among Jewish populations and their non-Jewish neighbors. Several studies have attempted to describe these genetic relationships and to unravel the numerous evolutionary factors that have come into play during the Diaspora (2–11). Some of the key arguments in the literature concern the relative contributions of common ancestry, genetic drift, natural selection, and admixture leading to the observed similarities and differences among Jewish and non-Jewish communities.

Given the complex history of migration, can Jews be traced to a single Middle Eastern ancestry, or are present-day Jewish communities more closely related to non-Jewish populations from the same geographic area? Some genetic studies suggest that Jewish populations show substantial non-Jewish admixture and the occurrence of mass conversion of non-Jews to Judaism (2, 3, 10, 12). In contrast, other research points to considerably greater genetic similarity among Jewish communities with only slight gene flow from their respective host populations (5, 7, 9, 11, 13). Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that the degree of genetic similarity among Jewish communities and between Jewish and non-Jewish populations depends on the particular locus that is being investigated (4, 8, 11). This observation raises the possibility that variation associated with a given locus has been influenced by natural selection.

All of the aforementioned investigations used “classical” genetic markers such as blood groups, enzymes, and serum proteins, as well as immunoglobulins and the HLA system. More recently, restriction fragment length polymorphism studies were initiated by using mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), the nonrecombining portion of the Y chromosome (NRY), and other nuclear loci (14–20). An advantage of nucleotide-level studies is that they circumvent some of the complications associated with selection; however, these studies have not fully resolved many of the key issues in the earlier literature.

Analyses of mtDNA and the NRY are especially relevant to studies of Jewish origins because, according to ancient Jewish law, Jewish religious affiliation is assigned maternally (1). In particular, studies of paternally inherited variation provide the opportunity to assess the genetic contribution of non-Jewish males to present-day Jewish genetic diversity. This research represents one of the first comparisons of biallelic variation on the NRY in Jewish and non-Jewish populations from similar geographic areas. We surveyed 18 biallelic polymorphisms in 7 Jewish and 22 non-Jewish populations from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to assess the relative contributions of common ancestry, gene flow, and genetic drift in shaping patterns of NRY variation in populations of the Jewish Diaspora.

            DNA Samples.

We analyzed a total of 1,371 males from 29 populations. These populations were categorized into five major divisions based on a combination of geographic, religious, linguistic, and ethnohistorical criteria: Jews, Middle Eastern non-Jews, Europeans, North Africans, and sub-Saharan Africans (Table (Table1).1). The Jewish samples included 115 Ashkenazim (Ash), 44 Roman Jews (Rom) (21), 45 North African Jews (Naf) (25 Moroccans, 15 Libyans, 1 Tunisian, 1 Algerian, and 3 from unspecified North African countries), 32 Near Eastern Jews (Nea) (18 Iraqis and 14 Iranians), 50 Kurdish Jews (Kur) (22), 30 Yemenite Jews (Yem) (23), and 20 Ethiopian Jews (EtJ) (23). The non-Jewish Middle Eastern samples included 73 Palestinians (Pal), 91 Syrians (Syr), 23 Lebanese (Leb), 21 Israeli Druze (Dru), and 21 Saudi Arabians (Sar). The remaining sample composition was as follows: Europeans: 31 Russians (Rus), 44 British (Bri), 33 Germans (Ger), 40 Austrians (Aus), 81 Italians (Ita), 23 Spanish (Spa), 85 Greeks (Gre); North Africans: 31 Tunisians (Tun), 58 Egyptians (Egy), 48 Ethiopians (Eth); sub-Saharan Africans: 49 Gambians (Gam), 31 Biaka (Bia), 26 Bagandans (Bag), 63 San (San), and 30 Zulu (Zul). We also analyzed a sample of 98 Turks (Tur) and 34 unrelated males from the Lemba (Lem), a Bantu (Venda)-speaking population from southern Africa who claim Jewish paternal ancestry (24). All sampling protocols were approved by the Human Subjects Committee at the University of Arizona.

Like I thought, it’s just more stuff out of the highly biased Ostrer-Skorecki gang, all based on secret data not available to those not in the gang. Since the reproducibility of their reports have never been demonstrated, the best you have is an unsubstantiated hypothesis. Ostrer knows that his data can be used to produce reports with entirely different conclusion.

Did YU’s Harry Ostrer Cook The Genetic Books To Support False Findings Of Ashkenazi Jews Origins?
            May 07, 2013
An Israeli researcher alleges that a Yeshiva University professor manipulated data to reach the “false” conclusion that Ashkenazi Jews have a predominantly Middle Eastern genetic origin when in fact their genetic signature is predominantly from the Caucus region of northeast Asia. And even though this Israeli researcher published his study debunking Ostrer and other geneticists more than 6 months ago, none of them will respond to the questions about their work.

            [snip]

“It was a great pleasure reading your group’s recent paper, ‘Abraham’s Children in the Genome Era,’ that illuminate[s] the history of our people,” Elhaik wrote to Ostrer. “Is it possible to see the data used for the study?”

Ostrer replied that the data are not publicly available. “It is possible to collaborate with the team by writing a brief proposal that outlines what you plan to do,” he wrote. “Criteria for reviewing include novelty and strength of the proposal, non-overlap with current or planned activities, and non-defamatory nature toward the Jewish people.” That last requirement, Elhaik argues, reveals the bias of Ostrer and his collaborators.

It does not apply to this study. And regardless of DNA, Jews, as a collective people, have had the same fate for being Jews regardless of their genetic mixes throughout the centuries, almost as intensely ignorant as the “one drop rule” was for Africans under the slave trade and Jim Crow. Israel has multiple reasons to exist, whether you like it or not.

There was no DNA issues to save Jews of Syria and Lebanon, then a single country under French Mandate, were saved because British forces conquered the region in June, 1941. But Jews in Morocco and Algeria did not fare as well.

The Vichy government introduced “Nuremberg Laws” French style. Jewish students were expelled form schools. Jewish officials were fired from government jobs and restrictions were imposed on all Jews, regardless of DNA.

In Morocco and Algeria, Jewish community leaders were detained in desert prison camps and the food ration for Jews was reduced below that of the rest of the population. The Military Governor of Morocco signed an order establishing concentration camps for Jews, regardless of DNA

But Jews were killed by the Nazis or their collaborators in Tunisia and in Iraq, regardless of DNA.

You cannot have it both ways! You cannot claim not to refute DNA and yet go through the back door and haul stupid date that contradicts actual DNA reports. I did ask you dozens of time if you could post one actual DNA for an actual DNA report and you have not and the reason is very simple that the Ashkenazi score 99% European and 0% Middle East. If there were actual descendants of the “Israelite” today, their DNA can only match that of their cousins in Ur, Iraq, who are now the Shia Muslims of Southern Iraq and not that of the Ashkenazi. Yes or no?

“I refute your application of DNA so many millions of people that have never even been tested”

Here is an example where they tested Ashkenazi Jews and Arab Jews for certain genetic diseases and the Arab Jews were totally free of the diseases. They tested only 1,613 Ashkenazi and found the rate for this disease among the Ashkenazi to be 1 in 100. If they tested 1 million or 10 million, the results would still be the same. Similarly, the Ashkenazi rate on average score 99.6% in a genetic group called “Ashkenazi’. Do you now see how silly your statement was?

“The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of blmAsh mutation carriers in a randomly sampled Ashkenazi Jewish population in Israel. The initial study group included 1,613 Ashkenazi Jews who were referred for routine DNA screening tests (cystic fibrosis, Gaucher, Canavan, fragile X). None had a family history of BS. A group of 552 non-Ashkenazi Jews served as controls. Mutation analysis was performed by PCR amplification All positive carriers were confirmed by direct sequencing. Sixteen blmAsh carriers were detected among 1,613 Ashkenazi Jews (1 in 101), compared to none among 552 non-Ashkenazi individuals.”(source: ADGenetic Institute, Sourasky Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel)

        a) It looks like you are moving away from using “Ashkenazi was only coming back to his ancestral land” now that we have definite confirmation via DNA that the Ashkenazi has no trace of ME ancestry – zero – zilch – nothing.

        b) You are now dismissing God and Abraham as fairy tales and no more
“God the land to the EUROPEAN Ashkenazi” right?

Then you need to tell me why this white man is on Arab land and not the Eskimos or the Hutus or the Zulus since the Eskimos, Hutus, Zulus and the Ashkenazi are at exactly the same level of Middle East ancestry which ZERO %. Please give me a good reason why this white European dude was allowed on Arab land. I think you said the white dude was having a difficult time in his native Europe, right? How then did it fall on the Arabs to rescue this totally European creature?

Exodus 33:2-3 It is a land rich with milk and honey, and I will send an angel to force out those people who live there—the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
    ______________
Excuse me: The the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites are native to Palestine but Mr.Abrham-Isaac-Jacob are predatory bandits that came all the way from Ur, Iraq. Who likes this kind of god that will force out a native people to give the land to a foreign people. Btw: How did Abraham communicate with the natives? What was his mother tongue of Ur, Iraq? How far is Ur from Palestine? About a thousand miles.

And now we have GODDAMNED EUROPEANS who want to imitate what Abraham-Isaac-Jacob did and want to force out the natives of Palestine coming all the way from Lithuania, Holland, Germany, totally a EUROPEAN people.

Exodus 34:11 I will force out the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, but you must do what I command you today.

Can anyone tell me what was wrong with Abraham’s land of Ur, Iraq, a 1,000 miles away that this crazy god has to promise other people’s land to foreigners?

Numbers 33:55 If you don’t force out all the people there, they will be like pointed sticks in your eyes and thorns in your back. They will always be trouble for you.

Excuse me Mr. God? But what had the natives of Palestine done to you that you must transplant and insert foreigners to their land? And I never understood what it was about Abraham that you found so attractive?

    Deuteronomy 7:1-3

Force the Other Nations Out of the Land

    Moses said:

7 People of Israel, the Lord your God will help you take the land of the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. These seven nations have more people and are stronger than Israel, but when you attack them, 2 the Lord will force them out of the land. Then you must destroy them without mercy. Don’t make any peace treaties with them, 3 and don’t let your sons and daughters marry any of them.
    . . .

What had the natives of Palestine done to you that you had to bring foreigners from Ur, Iraq to take their land? What was wrong with Ur, the ancestral land of Abraham?

Why the Lord Will Help Israel
    Moses said:

Deuteronomy 9 Israel, listen to me! You will soon cross the Jordan River and go into the land to force out the nations that live there. They are more powerful than you are, and the walls around their cities reach to the sky. 2 Some of these nations are descendants of the Anakim.[a] You know how tall and strong they are, and you’ve heard that no one can defeat them in battle. 3 But the Lord your God has promised to go ahead of you, like a raging fire burning everything in its path. So when you attack your enemies, it will be easy for you to destroy them and take their land.
    . . .

Excuse me Mr. God: Why are the natives of Palestine the enemies of the folks of Ur, Iraq? They did not own adjoining land, did they. The people of Canaan were minding their businesses when a certain “God” goes around whispering in people’s ears how to be bandits and thieves. Why couldn’t you just rained gold on Ur and let Abraham stay on his native land?

Joshua 3:10 The Canaanites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, and the Jebusites control the land on the other side of the river. But the living God will be with you and will force them out of the land when you attack. And now, God is going to prove that he’s powerful enough to force them out.
    . . .

Mr. God: you have never given a reason why the natives of Palestine must be vanquished by the natives of Ur, Iraq? Don’t you care what would have happen to the mothers, the children, the sick and the elderly when gangster Abraham arrives from a 1000 miles away to cause havoc?

Joshua 16:10 Ephraim could not force the Canaanites out of Gezer, so there are still some Canaanites who live there among the Israelites. But now these Canaanites have to work as slaves for the Israelites.

What kind of demented god will bring foreign people all the way from UR, Iraq and take the native Canaanites’ land and then make the natives of Canaan to be the slaves of the people of UR? What kind of cruel and demented God finds glory in this kind of injustice?

  • Helen4Yemen

2 Chronicles 20:7 Our God, you forced out the nations who lived in this land before your people Israel came here, and you gave it to the descendants of your friend Abraham forever.
    . . .

What “people of Israel”? You mean the people of UR, IRAQ?
