Israeli forces desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque and fired tear gas at worshippers

Muslim worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque were left suffocated after tear gas grenades were used by Israeli soldiers who were escorting settlers around the holy site yesterday.

Social media users reported 30 worshippers were injured, including Turks, South Africans, British nationals, Americas in addition to Palestinians on the twenty-third day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Some of the injuries were a result of rubber-coated bullet which were fired by the Israeli forces.

Eyewitnesses reported that a large number of Israeli soldiers and policemen along with settlers desecrated the Mosque in the morning and provocatively toured the mosque’s courtyard.

Confrontations took place after Israeli policemen attacked Palestinian worshippers who were chanting religious slogans in protest at the presence of Jewish settlers, police and military forces on the mosque’s grounds.
