March 27, 2018 at 1:45 pm

A Saudi citizen is facing trial in Riyadh over an accusation that he communicated with Iranian intelligence agents and covered up their surveillance ring, Russia Today revealed on its Arabic news website.

The site added that prosecutors accuse the Saudi citizen of misleading security authorities by not telling them the truth about the alleged Iranian spies. He is also accused of facilitating the travel of several persons to Iraq despite knowing that some of them did not have necessary permits.

The defendant illegally travelled to Iraq several times even though he is banned from travelling, according to prosecutors.

Investigations also allegedly revealed that the Saudi citizen possessed pornographic images that are banned by Saudi law.
