Following the confirmation of the second case of coronavirus in Israel, more than 200 citizens have been put in quarantine, including 30 soldiers, local media reported on Monday.
Those Israelis with coronavirus were among the passengers who returned from the cruise ship quarantined off the coast of Japan, Haaretz reported. It noted that a travel warning has been issued by the government, covering trips to South Korea and Japan.
On Sunday, Israeli Army Radio reported that the 30 soldiers in quarantine include Israel’s military attaché in China and his family.
The developments come in the wake of reports that nine South Koreans who visited Israel and the occupied West Bank recently tested positive for the virus when they returned home.
