The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia has claimed responsibility for missile attacks on three Turkish border cities, saying that the attacks killed seven Turkish soldiers and injured three others.

The attacks hit Turkish forces in the border cities of Riha, Dilok and Mardin, the SDF said in a statement.

It added that the attacks come after Turkiye’s recent escalation in the north and east of Syria where Kurdish fighters and one civilian were killed in the city of Kobane (Ain Al-Arab) and the Amuda suburbs.

The past few days have witnessed an exchange of military attacks between the Assad regime as well as the US-backed Kurdish SDF on the one hand and the Turkish army on the other . Attacks occurred on the border near Kobane in Aleppo’s suburbs.

The Assad regime also recently said that three of its fighters were killed and six were wounded in a Turkish raid on the area surrounding Aleppo.
