Misrata Free Zone signs consultancy agreement with Singapore Surbana Jurong

Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) signed an agreement with Singapore’s Surbana Jurong Consulting Group at the end of September, Libya Herald reports.

According to the report, the signing took place in the presence of MFZ’s Chairman of the Management Committee, the General Director of the Port, the Director of Marketing and Cooperation Department, members of the advisory team, the Regional Director of Surbana and the Director of the British Office.

MFZ reported that Surbana Jurong Group is one of the largest global consulting companies specialised in providing integrated consulting solutions for free and industrial zones and ports, with seventy years of experience.

Based on the contract signed with the MFZ, Surbana will progress plans to develop the general strategy for MFZ and expand the seaport.

The MFZ said this agreement reflects its commitment to strengthening and activating its role and status as a transit gateway for African countries and one of the most important international trade corridors, the report added.
