The Israeli army announced that the number of Israeli soldiers killed during the ongoing confrontations in the Gaza Strip had risen to 17.
This came after the Israeli army announced, on Thursday, that two of its soldiers were killed as a result of wounds they sustained in the clashes that took place in the Gaza Strip a few days ago.
Since dawn on Tuesday, clashes and direct confrontations have escalated between the Israeli army and Al-Qassam Brigades fighters in several areas in northern Gaza, and at the Erez crossing between the northern Gaza Strip and Israel.
Since 7 October, the Israeli army has been launching air strikes on Gaza, during which it killed more than 8,796 Palestinians, including 3,648 children, and injured about 22,219. It also killed 130 Palestinians and arrested about 2,000 in the West Bank, according to official Palestinian sources.
