The leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, declared yesterday that US President-elect Donald Trump will “fail” in his attempts to resolve the Palestinian issue during his second term in office.

“Trump failed in his ‘Deal of the Century’ project, despite all his arrogance, hubris, and tyranny, and he will fail again this time,” Al-Houthi said.

American presidents, he continued, “compete to offer the most support to the Israeli enemy… Trump himself, in his previous presidential term, took significant steps for Israel … [including] recognising all of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moving the US embassy there.”

He told Arab nations that Trump “seeks to exploit you, viewing your wealth as nothing more than a cash cow.”

Trump defeated his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris in a presidential election held in the US on Tuesday.
