UNESCO Upgrades Lebanon historic sites protection status

UNESCO upgrades the status of Lebanese historic sites following Israeli attacks on the Mediterranean country's heritage. 34 cultural properties are now listed as 'provisional enhanced protection', which requires countries to protect these sites and failure to do so would be in violation of the 1954 Hague Convention.
