Palestinian journalist, Iman Al-Shanti, was killed yesterday along with her husband and three children in an Israeli strike that targeted their apartment in the Sheikh Radwan area, north of Gaza City.
The 38-year-old’s last words on X were: “Is it possible that we are still alive? May God have mercy on the martyrs
The Palestinian Journalists Forum mourned Al-Shanti, noting that Israel has killed 193 Palestinian journalists in Gaza since it launched its genocide on the besieged enclave on 7 October 2023.
The organisation denounced the international community’s silence and inability to protect Palestinian journalists and guarantee their freedom to perform their duties in accordance with international laws and humanitarian charters.
