Qatar minister surprised at Morsi-Hamas collaboration accusation

Qatar's Foreign Minister has expressed his surprise at the accusations that President Mohammed Morsi collaborated with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas. Speaking to Al-Jazeera, Khalid Al-Ateyya said, "This has made us cautious about the future vision for Palestine in the eyes of the new Egyptian rulers."

Commenting on the incidents in Egypt, he added, "Finding a solution to the crisis in Egypt is getting more difficult day by day." He called for all parties to go to the negotiation table.

Qatar condemned the way that the peaceful protesters in Rabaa Al-Adawiyya and Al-Nahda Squares were dealt with, leading to the deaths of hundreds of civilians and the wounding of thousands more.
