The Attorney General in the Gaza Strip said on Tuesday morning that different internal and external sides have assigned a huge amount of money in order to spoil the Palestinian youth through drugs.
Mohammed Abed who has led an activity for destroying the drugs and forged money detected and confiscated from the gangs in the Strip thanked the security officers who do their efforts to keep security and safety of people.
"Today while celebrating the International Day Against Drugs, we prove that our security apparatuses have done the best to chase and prosecute the criminals who does not care with the future of our country," the Attorney General Abed, said.
The criminals who were caught circulating drugs and forged money, according to the Attorney General, have been punished over undermining the Palestinian security, economy and the Palestinian youth.
Mr Abed said that the office of the Attorney General got the permission from the Council of Ministers to study and develop a new legal act to deal with the drug traffickers which grant him the power to issue harsh sentences against them rather than the Egyptian act which is in effect in the Palestinian territories today.
