EXCLUSIVE PICTURES

Dozens of entries have been received for a photography competition organised by the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees living around the world. Many of the entries have been put on display in an exhibition entitled “What you do not know about my life”.

Some of the photographs on display include pictures from the Nakba (Catastrophe) of 1948 and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homeland; hundreds of thousands were internally displaced or driven into exile in neighbouring countries. Other photographs give an insight into the reality for Palestinians struggling in the Israeli-occupied territories and under the Israeli-imposed siege of Gaza, as well as other aspects of Palestinian life across the decades from 1948 to the present day.
