Israel's 'illegal detentions'

Two leading human rights groups in Israel have released a report that severely criticises Israel for detaining Palestinians for long periods of time without charges. The report says more than 300 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli jails without any legal basis.

While Israeli authorities call this administrative detention, their opponents say it is undemocratic and illegal under international law. Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports from the occupied West Bank.
