Mubarak advises Egyptians to elect Al-Sisi as president

Egypt’s ousted dictator Hosni Mubarak advised Egyptians to elect Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi as president of the country.

In an interview with the pro-coup newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm Wednesday, Mubarak told Egyptians: “you have no other choice [than Al-Sisi]”.

Commenting on the political developments, Mubarak said: “I am very worried about the issue of the Muslim Brotherhood. The United States is pressuring Egypt to reintegrate the Brotherhood in the political process. They are telling us no aircrafts without engaging MB. They did this to me, but I did not bow down to their pressures.”

Regarding Gulf support to the coup, Mubarak warned that this support would not continue for good. “It’s true that they support us now, but we need to work because they will not support us forever.”

Furthermore, Mubarak took on the leftist pro-coup presidential hopeful Hamdeen Sabbahi, “this Hamdeen is useless and is unfit to become president.”
