Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday ordered the four French Jews, who were killed in a kosher restaurant in France on Friday, to be buried in Israel, the Anadolu Agency reported.

Ofir Gendelman, Netanyahu’s spokesman, said the PM accepted an application by the families of the victims in Paris for them to be buried in Israel. He stated that a burial for them might take place tomorrow.

In his statement, Gendelman noted that a meeting in the PM’s office would discuss the issue in order to prepare for the funeral. All related departments, Gendelman said, would participate in the meeting.

For his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman yesterday called for French and European Jews to migrate to Israel.

“The most important message for French Jews is: immigrate to Israel,” Lieberman said. “If you are looking for security and a safer future for your children there is no other alternative.”

On Saturday, Netanyahu announced that a special ministerial committee is to convene this week in order to discuss measures to promote migration from France and other European countries to Israel.

The Anadolu Agency obtained a copy of Netanyahu’s statement in which he says: “I say to all Jews in Europe, Israeli is not the direction that you pray towards, it is your home.”
