Israeli media sources have revealed that the Palestinian Authority’s security agency is imposing stricter measures regarding its members carrying weapons and ammunition following a shooting incident involving a PA police officer.
Off-duty Palestinian staff sergeant Amjad Sukkari shot and wounded three Israeli soldiers in an attack on Sunday after opening fire at the Beit El military checkpoint. He was shot dead at the scene.

Israeli Radio quoted a Palestinian source yesterday saying: “The PA’s security agency in the West Bank has opened an investigation into the Beit El attack, while the Israeli army imposed a security cordon on Ramallah, limiting the movement of those entering and exiting the city.”
