The Fethullah Gulen movement has reduced the number of its Supreme Shura Council members from 14 to 11 members, a security source told the Anadolu Agency yesterday.

According to the source, the new leaders include Naji Toson, Rasheed Hailamaz, Mustafa Cheel and Irfan Yilmaz.

Meanwhile, the second man in the movement, Mustafa Özcan will continue to lead the movement.

Ismail Buick Chalabi has been appointed to lead the US unit and Abdullah Aymaz will lead the European unit.

According to the same source, all the members left Turkey in early 2014, and their place of residence is unknown.

The Turkish authorities accuse the Fethullah Gulen movement of planning the failed coup attempt in July.
