Three soldiers and one Egyptian army officer were killed yesterday in a bomb blast near El-Bawiti in Egypt’s Western Desert, the army confirmed in a statement today.
The Egyptian army have put the destruction of terrorism in the country as a top priority. In response to the killing of 29 Coptic Christians by Daesh last week in the south of Cairo the Egyptian army bombed a convoy of people they describe terrorists in the western desert, destroying two of their vehicles, according to L’Orient Le Jour.
As the army cleared the area in the aftermath an explosive jacket left by the militants exploded, killing the four soldiers.
