Israel’s Channel 10 television reported that the Police Internal Investigations Department, Machash has opened a criminal investigation into the case of shooting sponge-coated bullets against Ayman Odeh MK, head of the joint list, during the demolition of houses in the village of Umm al-Hieran in the Negev.

The Israeli police initially claimed that Odeh’s injury was caused by stones thrown by the village residents. Machash has investigated three police officers in the case.
MK Ouda had filed a complaint against the police officers after taking medical examinations at the Abu Kabir Institute, which confirmed that the injury was caused the sponge- coated bullets
