The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Friday condemned Israel’s “execution” of Palestinian youth Mohammad Usama Abu Jomaa in Jerusalem and for detaining his body, Al Watan Voice reported.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the PA announced: “The Israeli occupation forces opened fire at Abu Jomaa without any reason, leaving him dead immediately.”

According to the PA, the Israeli occupation also detained Abu Jomaa’s body and has not yet released the autopsy results.

According to the statement, the PA said the “execution” of the Palestinian youth: “Is part of the daily killings of Palestinians under the instruction of the Israeli political level.”

The PA attributed full responsibility for “committing this crime” to the Israeli occupation government and called on the international community to afford protection for Palestinians.
Concluding the statement, the PA urged the International Criminal Court to: “Immediately start investigating crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and its settlers against Palestinians.”
