A female Israeli Jewish settler played music, sang and danced in the Al Aqsa Mosque compound during a right-wing Israeli raid of the Muslim holy site, Felesteen newspaper reported yesterday.

The newspaper added that Israeli occupation forces and military police provided protection for the settlers during the raid.

This came as so-called 'Temple Mount' groups announced an award of 500 shekel ($140) for every Jew who blows the trumpet inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Felesteen newspaper reported that 116 Israeli Jewish settlers raided Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday and performed Jewish religious rituals in the east area of the Muslim holy site.

Some 4,821 Israeli Jewish settlers raided Al-Aqsa Mosque in September; with figures peaking during the Jewish New Year on 26-27 September.
