Heba Saadieh: Palestine’s first world cup referee

Heba Saadieh made history during the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup by becoming the first Palestinian to officiate a World Cup match. The 34-year-old is a referee in both the women's and men's leagues in Sweden, and was the assistant referee during the WWC group match between England and China.
