The government media office in Gaza said that “1.4 million Palestinians were displaced from their homes in the Gaza Strip, due to Israel’s violent bombing of residential neighbourhoods.”
The office added, in a statement received by Quds Press yesterday, that “tens of thousands of displaced people were forced to return to Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip after the occupation deliberately targeted them in the areas it claimed were safe in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.”
For the 17th day in a row, the occupation army continues to target the Gaza Strip with intense air strikes that destroyed entire neighbourhoods and demolished buildings and residential towers over the heads of their civilian residents, leading to the number of martyrs rising to more than 4,740 martyrs, including 1,873 children, 1,023 women and 187 elderly people.
More than 1,400 occupation soldiers and settlers were killed, and 5,132 were injured, according to the occupation’s Ministry of Health.
