Tel Aviv wants everyone to fear Israel and put on the table the possibility of murder to achieve that end, according to a Swedish writer of Jewish origin, Anadolu Agency reports.

I believe Israel wants to bring fear of itself to everybody and not excluding the possibility that it wants to kill people. Probably the easiest explanation – it wants to kill everybody

Israel Shamir told Anadolu.

He said Israel has carried out a “creeping genocide” since 1948 and noted the “horrible” bombardments of the Gaza Strip.

Shamir said Israeli generals, head of staff and ministers want war and they all want to “eat” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, apparently meaning to weaken the Premier whose approval rating is imploding.

A recent poll had former Defence chief, Benny Gantz, receiving 48 per cent of the public’s support to lead Israel. Netanyahu picked up 29 per cent.

Regarding global reactions to Israel’s response to a surprise 7 October attack by Palestinian Resistance group, Hamas, against Israel, Shamir said, “More and more Western countries lose their subjectivity.”

“They are objects. “They cannot really say no to Israel,” he said.

If there is a just world, Israel will be judged in the future, but if this system continues, it will be very difficult

he said.

The Israeli army expanded its air and ground attacks this week on the Gaza Strip.

Nearly 10,600 people have been killed in the conflict, including 9,061 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.

Basic supplies are running low for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the Israeli siege, in addition to the large number of casualties and massive displacements of residents.
