Palestine met with cheers at Paris Olympic opening

Crowds cheered as the Palestinian Olympic team took part in yesterday’s Opening ceremony of the Paris Games. Spectators could be seen wearing t-shirts calling for a ‘free Palestine’, carrying watermelons posters - a symbol of Palestinian solidarity - and waving the flag.
