US congresswoman: ‘Black & Palestinian liberation are tied’

Summer Lee was one of the few members of Congress to address pro-Palestine activists outside the Democratic National Convention. She said that part of fighting for her black liberation is fighting for Palestinian liberation. She encouraged the activists who had been outside the convention for days, telling them that they are on the right side of history, that none of the Gaza solidarity protests have been in vain and joked that the issue had been going on much longer than 'AIPAC have been after me'.
