Jawadi: Al-Sisi negotiates a "secure exit" for himself with the Americans

The prominent Egyptian historian and political analyst, Dr Muhammad Jawadi, has claimed that Egypt’s defence minister, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, has asked the Americans to provide him with a secure exit.

Jawadi told al Jazeera Mubasher Egypt, “whatever pressure the Americans exert, the final word will be with the Egyptian people” expressing his confidence that the free Egyptians would not negotiate the blood of the martyrs. He added: “Al-Sisi is looking for a secure exit for himself, the same way the Yemeni president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, did” stressing that it would not happen as long as Egypt’s young people “rise up, every day, boldly and courageously against the coup.”
