Muslim Brotherhood denies attacking soldiers, holds military regime responsible

April 12, 2014 at 10:58 am

The Muslim Brotherhood condemned an attack on an army bus which killed four officers in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Thursday.

The MB denied any responsibility for the attack, holding the military-led regime responsible for “the loss of innocent Egyptian lives.”

Meanwhile, a leader in the Anti-Coup Pro-Democracy Alliance and former Freedom and Justice Party leader Amr Darrag told Anadolu news agency that his alliance condemned the attack as “alien to the Egyptian people.”

“Those soldiers are our people,” he added.

Amr Darrag expressed his astonishment at the quick statement by the army wherein it accused the MB of carrying out the attack. He said the accusations are “unfounded”.
