The FIFA committee which was recently set up to discuss Israeli violations against Palestinian sport is to convene for the first time on 28 July, the head of the Palestinian National Football Union Jibril Al-Rajoub told Al-Quds newspaper yesterday.
The committee was formed after Palestinian complaints regarding Israeli violations against Palestinian sport were raised to the congress.
Al-Rajoub said he was invited to attend the first meeting.
The committee is also to set up its work mechanism, components, logistics and many other issues.
South African Minister and the Head of the Global Watch Tokyo Sexwale has been assigned as head for this committee.
Sexwale has visited the West Bank several times and been informed about the Israeli violations against the Palestinian sport.
