Study: 66% of Syrian children suffer from anxiety

A new study conducted on Syrian children in Turkey revealed that the majority have suffered psychologically due to the war in their country.

The study, conducted by Doctors Worldwide Turkey, included 113 Syrian children from one school revealed that as many as 66 per cent have lost a family member because of the war and suffer from sadness, tension, anxiety and fear.

The head of the psychosocial support unit, Wehdat Gormaz, said the organisation conducted its study at the school administration’s request.
